Help out a noob!

I'm a noob, i admit it. Somebody teach me the secrets of zigs and avis!! I want to put a gif as my sig and not sure why it won't let me use my picture for an avatar. I did the whole "[Img]" thing. Any response would help really. Also I'm using a Mac now but I do PC sometimes too so any help on either would be great.

edit: Ok, sorry, couldn't resist. Be sure you've checked the size limitation for the gif you're wanting to use. I can't remember exactly what the limit is, but you can find it in the user control panel. Good luck.....if you still can't figure it out, PM a mod (Ox & Slevin are usually around & generally willing to help with stuff like this)
