Would really like to see Grier and Dawson pull the trigger.

I was a little frustrated with our needing to take 30+ last year and not getting it done. It didn't kill us this year but 85 would be way better than 74 scholarship players (sorry, no disrespect walkons, even walkons with the 1 year scholly).
Now it looks like we may be picking better groceries this year. Kids now see that Will's tougher Gators isn't just talk.

I already can't wait for next year just to see these guys in action. Offense could actually make some noise (especially if we can get the ever elusive 2nd year out of an OC)

Scout now has Powell as a soft verbal. Should we be worried?
Quinton Powell was one of the earliest commitments in Florida’s 2013 class, but now he wants to make sure he made the right choice. The linebacker of Mainland (Daytona Beach, FL) high school plans to take a few official visits now that he’s “matured” in the recruiting process. Get the latest on the Gators commitment here.

Gator or Gatorbait
"What the hell are you guys doing?" "Puttin' on the foil coach"... "yeah, every game"... "want some?"

Don't know if well get a verbal from either of the '14 kids but the banquet should definitely help solidify any 'soft' commits we might have at the moment.
Look forward to reading Zach's analysis next week.

Because the ACC just doesn't prepare you.

Here's another story from Scout.
Marqui Hawkins wrapped-up his high school career last weekend, and he's ready to shift his focus to recruiting. The Florida commit wants to visit other schools, and he's in the process of setting up the trips.

Homer J,
Powell and Hawkins have said for months that they would take visits. So has James Hearns. Some websites list commits as soft verbals when make those comments.
I ultimately think Florida will keep all three, and you should wait to hear what they have to say about their visit(s) to other schools afterward before worrying about them. To me, they sound like they just want a free trip.

Thanks - kinda figured that was the case but Scout changed their status to soft verbal so it makes you think they may leave. I saw that both were on your list for Saturday.
