I want to thank the TPD the District Attorney, and FSU for making this possible by keeping it under wraps

Pretty sure that if the Heisman hadn't already jumped the shark by now, it has most certainly jumped the shark now.

So that makes Winston the youngest rapist to win the Heisman. I bet his momma is so proud.

Jameis has two witnesses who will confirm that he not only won the Heisman, he won a Nobel, Oscar and Grammy as well.

The Downtown Athletic Club starting with last night's awarding of the Heisman have now installed GPS tracking locators on the trophy. As they soon feel that they will be picking this one up very soon. They first considered allowing the reipients to return the trophy as did Reggie Bush but was fearful that Winston's would be damaged on the scooter ride back to NY.

Well it's official. The Hesiman is now meaningless. How far it has strayed away from it's origination.

Watching the guy make the announcement last night and talking about the qualities of the award and what it means......He had to be choking to get those words out. IMO it seemed like the most un-interested group that attended. Not as jovial as it normally seems. Almost like you could cut the tension with a knife.

Wow, this guy must be another FSU player in the "special" classes. I can't tell if he's just hood or dumb, but he should have had his tutor (or the guy who does all of his schoolwork) to write his speech for him.

Yeah, it's no longer about character. Just win baby and the trophy is yours!

The crocodile tears by Dumbo at the ceremony were vomit inducing.

I didn't watch the thing, just saw the 'highlights', I was wondering were Spurrier, Danny, or Tebow present and/or visible?

To me the Heisman became irrelevant in 2001 when they gave and I mean gave the award to Eric Crouch based upon his "full body of work." Translated, we will not give the award to a sophomore (Grossman) since then I have only watched when Tebow was involved which brings up another reason why I ignore the ceremony.

When the Big 12 cartel got together and ensured that Tebow would not repeat by purging his name from their ballots. Yes, not a single Big 12 voter had Tebow 1st, 2nd, or 3rd on their ballot and instead stuffed the vote with Bradford, McCoy, and Graham Harrell, I knew the party was over.

One more thing, I keep reading you guys saying they might take this away from Winston. I think people confuse eligibility issues with criminal issues.
The criminal issues have no bearing on the Heisman which is why OJ is still a Heisman winner

If there turns out to be any legitimacy in the victim's claims, I absolutely agree. It lost a lot of meaning when Cam Newton won it claiming he didn't know his dad got all those perks. :madevil:

Also years players were screwed out of it haven't helped, but for other reasons mainly unfair to the best player that year who didn't win it (there was a thread on it but I'm thinking 2005 TX QB and 2009 Tebow).

I say they get rid of it and instead have a player of the year award that is equally hyped, either December or after the bowl games. The award would take out the "character" issues.
