Watching the Game in New York

Postby TommyGator » Sat Oct 05, 2013 8:48 am

...today with the Gotham Gators!

Any input from previous experiences watching from the Apple? Plan to go either to Sidebar or Cornerstone. Suggestions?

BTW, I love NY! (This is a new sentiment for me....)

Awesome! Sasquatch and I did it a few years ago and had a great time. Get there early! We had reserved a spot at whatever bar we chose (maybe Sidebar) but the place was pretty crowded. You'll have a blast though. Slevin may have some suggestions.

Go Gators!

Apparently you must be a member of thr Gotham Club to reserve seats. Any NYC Gators willing to "sponsor" Mr &Mrs TommyGator for tonight's Hog roast?

Good luck in NYC. I was traveling for work in Sonoma/Napa's the week of the Tennessee game. I ended up in San Fran to watch the game with the Gator Club there at Pete's Tavern near PAC Bell Stadium. They were representing about 75 strong. I was impressed.

Enjoy the game and ambiance... here's a pickup line guaranteed to score:

Drunk wench with large McGuffies stumbling about.

TommyGator: Hey baby, do you believe in the hereafter?

Drunk wench with large McGuffies: What?

TommyGator: Then you know what I'm here after.

Drunk wench with large McGuffies: Sure, that'll be 500 bucks.

You might have better luck if there were something about New York in the thread title.

"Watching the game" might be a little too specific. :D

Hope you brought a jersey to wear so you fit in.

Tommy was a long time member in good standing of our Savannah Gator Club. He left Savannah for Macon.i hope the Gotham Gators treated him and his wife nicely.

I'M ALIVE!

Thanks for all the input (and for the Title help, Slevin). We got carried away by the city (and finding tics for Spiderman), and lost track of the board.

Ended up at Cornerstone because it was nearby. Crowd was polite but TOO DAMN QUIET! Good showing by the Gators and a solid win. I'm beginning to really like this team. ...

Sorry I missed you Slevin. That wouldda been fun. Maybe next year. ... We WILL be back in NY!

Thanks for the kind words, Frank. My heart is still in Savannah.
