Postby gardnerwebbalumnigator » Sat Sep 21, 2013 12:12 am

Davidson Day pitched a 45-0 shutout tonight. Will Grier was 17 of 21, 360 yards and 6 TD's, and had a 47 TD run as well.

Hope abounds for the future......

How many handoffs did he have?

Does he know how to throw into quadruple coverage? OR how to panic in the pocket every play? Those are the skills we really look for.

Would you prefer he went 2-20 with 7 INTs?

If Brantley would have gone to Texas or USCe then he'd be a much different QB. His fault for believing in coaches who promised development when they, the coaches, knew they did not care to develop QBs.

Coach Pease will work on that as soon as he gets on campus. That is why we recruit 20 DBs every class. So each WR can have 3-4 DBs on them during practice.

Every QB recruit we get puts up these kind of stats in high school. No reason to get hyped on them until they play in a gator uniform.

Regretting that tramp stamp you got of a certain QB two years ago, huh?

I am still holding out hope for Driskel but when you look at the highlight films of him and Grier in high school nothing in it really says anything but probably a good fit for Meyer's offense when you look at Driskel but you do see more standard type passing with Grier at least.
