Another great example for Urban Meyer recruiting... This is just getting embarrassing to see UF alumni continue to look like fools.

How does this in any way reflect on Urban Meyer? I guess by that same token, his high school and Pop Warner coaches are to blame too. Good god.

I agree 100% that it is embarrassing to see alumni acting like idiots, but I think its a stretch to blame Meyer or his recruiting for this one. I doubt Cooper showed racist tendencies during his recruitment or time at UF.

His black Eagles teammates should love that comment. When will these fools learn?

Sorry folks, but this is a misreport, he is not at a music concert. Apparently this is a George Zimmerman rally. My apologies.

Whatever hell he catches, and he deserves it, it will not compare to having to walk back into that locker room and having to explain himself.

meh, no big deal. if he is racist then he's racist. Its not illegal and its not my place to tell him what to think. He is more than welcome to run his mouth if he wishes. If that causes his teammates to respond with some sort of corrective training or attitude adjustment action then it is what it is. Freedom of speech goes only as far as you can accept the consequences for. I don't think this reflects at all on UF, Gator Nation or Urban Meyer.

Though likely his teammates will not care so much. its probably a lot more like the military where you hear that word and many others from time to time, especially when emotions are stirred up. People are not always so thin skinned or as sensitive as civies are when it comes to that. I could see a football team being similiar in fashion to such a brotherhood. Maybe Civies are 1 on brotherhood, sports players like football are maybe a 5 while soldiers are 10 when it comes to bond rank where 10 is best. Or it could be that his black teammates throw that word around so much that he uses it too and its just another thing. But then again they could meet up in the locker room and have a scuffle and its over.
