Teddy Bridgewater

Was watching his college football live interview and I have to say, he is really a standup dude and what most college QBs should model themselves after. Hardworker, respectful to his team/family/fans an most of all, said Bostics hit was the worst of his life and that he can look in the mirror every morning to prove it. Hats off to Strong and the program he is building. Definitely a guy and team Ill root for when not playing the good guys!

Screw him. He torched us in the Sugar Bowl, so he's a POS.

Think we torched ourselves but the dislike was mutual in January until he see him doing everything right!

Yeah, hats off to Strong. When he left UF he pilfered 3 coaches from our staff, but I guess who could blame those coaches for jumping ship when Urban was going psychotic at the time.

Also have to hand it to Strong for hiring Clint Hurtt, the recruiting coordinator for Miami from 2007-2009... yes, THAT guy. Rumor has it that some shady stuff went down under his watch. Ah well, Strong hired him so I'm sure that means it's all a misunderstanding.

And some people still wonder why Foley never gave Strong even a hint of an interview...

We made that guy a first round QB. He was no where in the picture before that game. Now, they're talking Heisman Trophy and National Championship. We were not ready for that game and I blame the player leadership for that but hopefully it becomes a great motivation and Easley keeps it everyone's mind this year.

Everyone in Miami knows Bridge is going places. Let's just hope we don't get a repeat with Stephen Morris.

That Louisville non-performance was a fluke. Johnny Manziel
bedazzled defenses every game, even the mighty high tide. But
UF handled him. Our first game should show if the Looseville
game is an effective motivator. Grow Gators.

Maybe we did play a crap game against Louisville, But Bridgewater seized the opportunity to shine. To succeed at life you need to take advantage of the opportunities presented to you.

The Louisville game was an exhibition game. It was meaningless. I don't care about bowl games unless they mean something and there is only 1 bowl game that means anything. That said.. he played great and was throwing darts, he seemed to be in the zone.

I hope he does very well unless he plays us again, where I hope he gets destroyed.

A play or two is a fluke. We got our asses handed to us for an entire game. Let's just be gracious and give props to the kid for a great performance. Geesh

I like Teddy....think he's a straight up kid. He's also very talented. I've always liked Charlie and glad to see he's doing so well and getting rewarded for staying at Louisville. He has always handled himself with dignity. He is well liked by our UAA, with good reason. Given their cupcake schedule, Teddy and Charlie will have another good season.

Please...it's not Teddy, it's Bridge. Everyone in Miami knows that.

Agree with the complimentary posts. Zero issues with Bridgewater, and it's hard to not respect him with the way he conducts himself. I think the hype is way overdone personally, and we have no one to blame but ourselves. But I do think he's a solid players and good representative of college football, which is rare these days. Saw him during his OV back in 2010 for the Usce game and he seemed like a good kid. Can't really blame him for not giving us more of a look with Driskel already in the bag, a coach that was anything but engaged, and the raping by Garcia and Lattimore that he witnessed that night.

Definitely glad he went to Louisville instead of Miami though.

I watched the Sugar Bowl video. Bridgewater got an average of
7 secs to throw, Driskel got an average of 4.5 secs. Announcer
complained that Driskel was picking out one receiver before the
ball is snapped. Well if the expectation is "better throw by 4 secs",
then that's all he has time for. Driskel's best completions came when
he had 6 seconds to throw. Who can say what kind of passer JD
would be if he was confident on 8-10 seconds ?

This season, right off, let's count the seconds our QB has to throw.
Then expect picking out open WRs to occur.

In saying that Louisville game was not our fluke game, then aren't
you claiming that Louisville should beat aTm, LSU, USCe, UGa, etc.
UF was never in this game at all. So if this were "normal" ways, then
Louisville would do well playing in the SEC where UF went 11-1.

Something odd was in operation in that game .... coaches failed
miserably, players failed miserably, units failed collectively.
Players were "hero-posturing" after obvious penalty-drawing hits.
The UF FB-team seemed in a daze ; I know, pretty quickly, I was
watching in a daze. :embarrassed:

They were definitely in the twilight zone that night compared to the rest of the season. It appeared neither staff nor team cared that they were still playing in a major bowl game - crappy game plan, preening players with BS 'tudes, and guys going to the pros who had already clocked out.
