Postby Zach Abolverdi » Mon May 13, 2013 9:10 am

I think these two could be special players for the Gators.

Getting these fellows on campus and in the program should be a VERY good thing for them and UF. This is GR8 news!

Would have loved to have Brown on campus for spring practice. Does he have a shot to start? Seems like we have 6 solid OLs competing for the starting 5.

Brown is welcome as an O-lineman at 6'8" 350+ lbs. He's almost a
block himself.

Hopefully Brown is one of those big guys that can just pancake D linemen.

Brown has stated he's completely ok not starting he just wants to make an impact and that's honestly wat we need the most. Just a bunch of big dudes contributing.

Can't wait til the rest of the guys show up. Especially VHIII, Ahmad Fulwood, Adam Lane and Max Staver.

same. Staver is a guy I wanna see what he can do. If Driskel gets hurt (he's missed time both seasons so far so for the haters, piss off) I am not sure who we will turn to right now. Staver may be able to come in and be a respectable backup if required to be (at a minimum)

Gosh, if Driskel gets hurt, maybe Chris Leak can turn Trey Burton into
an able passer. Because nobody else has handled a game yet. IDK ?
Who do y'all think is our "on-field' backup ?

I like Trey as a playmaker. He's good with the wildcat and other positions he plays but he's not a very good passer. Right now I would say he is the backup but that is because of the QBs we have on the roster they'd all be handing it off every time. Staver I hope would give us a chance to throw the ball.

Our opponents need to worry as much about "covering" our passing
plays as about our running plays. It will be stupid-coaching if we let
defenses load the box against our offense. Thin them out and create
voids = daylight. Go with a varied, new Offense Gators !

Champ will have to keep his hands off the playbook if you want a varied offense. And our passing game will have to be much improved. but that's on the coaches and players now

Its always good to get a lineman that's 6'8" and 350. Now lets see if he can move, block, and stay out of trouble.

Tre's limp dick throw to Clay in the FSU game gives me zero hope that he can be a formidable QB if needed.

I hope so too. Brown gives us a 7th abled body along the OL....so if we have an injury or two we should be in good shape. I'd love to see an 8th OL emerge, or at least develop. I'm curious which of the OLs will play the TE/6th OL in the heavy package.

with the QBs we have on the roster that is laughable.

And Clay's pathetic attempt at a catch gives you more hope for our passing game? Oh, that's right; I remember, TE is not a problem because we recruited two HS hotshots who are suddenly going to be SEC quality TEs any minute now.
