Noah and the Bulls

Postby NoGaGator » Sat May 04, 2013 9:19 pm

I haven't watched a full game of the NBA prima-donnas since LeBron took his **** to South Beach - until tonight.

Bulls in game 7 at Brooklyn. Half their team is injured and they lead 61-44 at the half. Jalen Rose refuses to play even though he's been cleared for a month. Deng is in the hospital. Hinrich is out with an ankle. Robinson was barfing into a garbage can the last game.

Joakim is exerting his will, as usual on the game. He has 16 pts and 5 rebounds - at the half! Sir Charles and Shaq have man crushes on him in the studio.

Hope they hang on - just shows you what grit and desire can sometimes overcome.

It's been since Feb. 18 that Rose was cleared to play by team physicians. That's going on three months. There had been some criticism of his decision not to play, but that was before this evening and the huge effort by Noah to will his team to victory in Game 7.

Now comes Miami. If Rose chooses not to play, he'll be made a pariah by fans and the media. This is going to get interesting.

Wouldn't you love to see him spend the summer in Gainesville working with Patric?

Yes, but work with all our big men. Walker would be the one Noah
would most effect. Patric has mired himself in "suspended animation".

The only worry I had where Noah was concerned was whether he could keep his incredible intensity through the long NBA season. Shouldn't have worried.

Noah is a baller. Through out his career he has always stepped up in big games. He is a rare mixture of talent and willingness to do the dirty work out on the court. I always thought he would be good in the NBA, but he is going for superstar status the way he is putting this battered team on his back.

Thibideau deserves a lot of credit for his coaching as well. His teams play great fundamental basketball, and great defense.

If Parsons works on his handle he could become an all star. His shooting came along this year and he has flashes of greatness, but he doesn't handle the ball well enough to drive the lane. If he works on that he would be one of the toughest guys to defend in the association.

The Rockets stole him in the second round. If they redid that draft knowing what they know now he is flirting with being a lottery pick.

Oops - my bad - devil bourbon! :embarrassed: He might as well be Jalen for what he's providing his team.
