James Harden = Over rated

Postby lagator » Thu Apr 18, 2013 1:42 am

I don't think I've ever seen a player play a worse 30 point game. He's like a poor mans Kobe Bryant. Ball hog, volume shooter, has some amazing individual moments but doesn't make his teammates better. I get the feeling Parson's doesn't get along that well with him also because their body language on the bench during timeouts seems strained. Probably because he would rather chuck up an off balance double teamed 3 than kick it to a wide open CP behind the 3 pt line.

What did you expect? The Rockets are total idiots for offering the #3 guy on OKC's team $16mil a year to lead them. He had never done it before, so why did they think he could do it in Houston?

That Parsons buzzer beater to send it to OT was durty.

That guy has a knack for the big shot. Brought back memories of his time here.

Parsons is probably getting flashbacks of playing with Walker and Boynton.

Could've been worse. Parsons is lucky he didn't play with Pete, Peep, or whatever the heck we called Anthony Roberson.

The ironic thing is they have the talent to be a pretty good team, and I think McHale is a good coach, but when 80% of the set offense goes though one guy, even if that one guy is really good, you end up like they are, barely over 500 and last seed in the playoffs. Of course it was Harden's first year as a starter and CP is going to keep getting better. If they could add a really good PF to match up with Parsons and Asik, then with Lin and Harden in the back court they could challenge to at least win a round or 2 in the playoffs.

This year this loss didn't really matter because they weren't getting past either OKC or SA anyway. I hate to see anything good happen for the Lakers though. I knew they were going to be better without the rapist. SA better take them out or it's going to be unbearable at work.

No doubt. For a guy who moderates a sports message board, Ox seems to know more about the English language than sports.

In Ox's defense, I thought the thread was about the NBA, not sports.
