Deservedly so.
They have the #1 SOS and have been hot lately.
Even thought they're ranked, they're on the bubble of making the post season.
Just gotta keep getting more Ws than Ls.

Florida Gulf Coast has a good team this year, so we'll boost our RPI if we beat them.

Considering FGCU swept us at home earlier, this would be a real barometer of how far we've come.

Won 5-3... pitched well, timely hitting, but 5 errors. That's as many as we had made in the last 10 games total. No errors in the last 5 games until tonight.

With a 5-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth and no one on for Dunk City, we walked a guy, right fielder dropped an easy fly ball that was right to him and then the center fielder dropped a routine fly ball to make it 5-3... we then got the third out. Magliozzi was outstanding with a 1-2-3 ninth for his ninth save.

A win is a win... overcome adversity.

Went to game tonight as well. We had quite a few fans there for sure, good to see. Pitching was good. Hitting ok, missed some opportunities with men in scoring position. Cody Dent got a hit!
Shaffer failed to lay down a bunt twice, then hit into an 8th inning double play. And yep, 2 dropped fly balls in right and center with 2 outs.

All in all, we got it done, but we need to develop. Sully seems to be on it and I definitely see improvement.
It's Great to be a Florida GATOR!

So, cut down the errors and beat 'em again.
This gives us a 6-game win streak. Go more Gators.

Considering how this team started the year (3-7 the 1st 10 games), I am extremely pleased by the progress they are making.

No matter how poor the start, a coach is always happy to see continual improvement. Now the fans and opposing teams are seeing it as well.

Next game versus Mizzou launches SEC play. We do play some
"breather games" wedged in there v FL A&M, USF, ?
Things move fast from here on out. Go Gators !

Actually the Mizzou series launches our easier portion of the SEC schedule. We currently have the #1 SOS in the nation, but that may change given we only play one more ranked team the rest of the way.
Here's our opponents to close out the season (LSU is the only team currently ranked, or getting votes):
@ Mizzou
USF
Tenn
@ LSU (currently #2)
FL A&M
FAU
Barn
@ UGA

Here's the schedule:
