Are Sports Mascots Inappropriate for Children?

Postby DudeRanchBuddha » Sun Apr 14, 2013 11:59 am

Do you think it's inappropriate for schools to have mascots wearing no pants represent the University? Doesn't that send a strange, skewed message to children when they see these mascots running around naked from the waist down? This must really confuse kids, this seems very inappropriate. Do you feel like this makes kids question their sexuality, or want to move to a nudist colony when they become adults?

Discuss.

I personally think a mascot like this would be more appropriate and more conducive to the impressionable and developing minds of children who idolize and adore these mascots.

You must not have children. If you did, you would know that this is a serious matter.

Notice that our rival, fsu, anticipated this problem: hence their cute little pony. Wow! They are ahead of the curve.

It must be very confusing for little children because they obviously see pants on the animals that the mascots are copying.

Relax, I'm sure your children have better basic reasoning skills than you do.

My kids call it "Porky Piggin", and no i don't think its inappropriate... The confusions lies in them not being anatomically correct... Thats where the true issue is!!! :happyevil:

I have children and you troll must be a pedophile, I couldn't imagine any children wondering why they are not wearing pants, yea Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck really screwed us up in the 60's and 70's. why are your thoughts trained on children? If you want only let your children watch the K state teams,I guess that Jayhawk down the road must be obscene huh?
