Tebow's Pep Talk To Ohio State's Opponent

Postby rogdochar » Sat Mar 30, 2013 3:48 pm

Tim called Wichita States' HC Marshall and ask permission to address
his Sweet 16 Basketball team . Coach Marshall said "I was jolted. Of
course, I can't be a Florida fan, but I am definitely a Tim Tebow fan.

Tim was flying over that area for a speaking engagement and made
this extra stop . Was he foreseeing Wichita defeating Ohio State ?
Well, Tim definitely, publicly put himself on the side of Wichita State
who's in OSU's battle-path. AND, he did not give any uplift to Ohio State.

Any opinions ?

They were playing LaSalle not OSU.

Read....

"WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State University's men's basketball team got an unexpected new fan when they arrived home after their latest NCAA tournament victory.

A plane carrying New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow was refueling in Wichita when the Shockers' bus arrived Sunday after their upset win over top-seeded Gonzaga.

Tebow's representative asked coach Gregg Marshall if the Heisman Trophy winner could talk to the team.

Wearing a pink sweater over a tie and untucked shirt, Tebow got on the team bus, grabbed a microphone and told the players their surprising run to the Sweet 16 is something they will remember for the rest of their lives, regardless of what they do in the future. He also congratulated them and said they were an inspiration to many people.

"Some of you might go play in the NBA or you might have great lives. But this is the time you will remember," Tebow said. "All of you all together, ballin' out there together, training together, putting in the heart and sweat, everything, caring about each other. You'll never forget it, guys, this is what it's made of and these are the special times in your life, regardless of what you do in the future.

"So I just want to say congrats. You're an inspiration to so many people, so always remember that and how you carry yourself and your character, how you represent your school, your family, your team, your brothers on the team, but also, man, just go out there and ball out, leave nothing on the court. I know you don't need to hear that from me, but I just wish y'all luck and we're praying for you. God bless, and y'all go do it, all right, guys?"

The team then headed to Koch Arena, where thousands of fans had gathered to greet the team.

The Shockers play La Salle on Thursday night in Los Angeles."

The title is in the present tense of who 's who in opponents.
Tim gave his "Go Out and Win Speech" to Wichita State, who by
winning became OSU's opponent in this next game. Wichita State "IS"
OSU's opponent, thus "OSU's opponent" is synonymous with Witch St.
It's a "catch-title" with more truth than typical such titles today.
{Poetic License with not a word of falsehood}

Now anybody think Tim had no idea of this championship progressive
elimination. ?

"Now anybody think Tim had no idea of this championship progressive elimination. ?"

While I suspect that Tim did know the brackets, even he can't predetermine who will win their game so it is reasonable to assume he was not thinking of OSU when he gave this speech to the team.

Please stop trying to tie Tim to OSU, I know he is a close personal friend of their football coach, but he is a life long Gator and as such always has our best interests in mind.

What if Wichita State ends up playing the Gators? What does it mean then?

It means Tebow is working for Urbs again. Everybody knows those two are a team to screw the Gators any time they can.

There's nothing wrong with the thread.

I was interested in finding out that Tebow met with the Wichita State players and gave them a pep talk. I think it is just a part of who Tebow is. He is for the underdog. That what the New Testament talks about: the last shall be first, the meek shall inherit the earth and all of that.

Because Tebow spoke with the Wichita State players I don't think it means he is not pulling for the Gators to win this tournament. I don't think it means that at all. I like to root for the underdog. I think most of us do. The story of Florida Gulf Coast was a great story, and they did themselves good. Of course, when they played the Gators, I wanted us to win.

Wichita State is also a Cinderella type team although they are a much older program than Florida Gulf Coast. Wichita State has been to the NCAA tournament before and I think they made a pretty deep run in the thing back in the 1960s when they had a player named Dave Stallworth.

I remember when they were called the Wichita State Wheatshockers. That has been shortened now to just the Shockers.

Very true "OkeeJoe". Tim believes in purposeful happenings. His plane
"landed" in the same physical circle, in the same temporal circle and
Tim Tebow is all about spreading inspiration. And Tim knows he is
top-qualified to relate athletic inspiration. Voila-la-la.

As far as college sports and Tim Tebow go I only want to read about Tebow supporting the Gators and no other schools. If for religious purposes Tim supports a school like Liberty I can understand that. But I find it odd Tebow is reported to be speaking to athletes thinking about schools other than Florida and giving pep talks to schools other than Florida.

I have never heard of this before from other great college ahtletes so it's taking a little getting used to. Hey Tebow is a different kind of cat and he can do what he wants and he can speak to whoevcer he wants to. But I would rather Tim be concentrating on getting traded or released from the Jets so he can battle a stiff like Kevin Kolb the new QB of the BIlls. WTF! Yeah that's right the Bill cut Fitzpatrick for Kolb. Tim would have been a better fit in Buffaolo and Tim can actually impact a team. Kolb cannot. What string of QB is Tim with the Jets? Third? Fourth? I have lost track. Too bad Tebow's silent agent again fails Tim. If anyone thinks dopey Rex Ryan will give Tebow a real chance to compte for the Jet's staring QB job they are lost. That will not happen. Too bad Tim and Jimmy don't know that. Afterall Ryan blames Tebow for the Jets failures last season and he resneted having Tim forced on him by owner Woody Johnson. I always wish the best for Tebow but he is stuck in NFL hell with the Jets that's for sure.

People can knowck Tebow all they want but Tebow would be a better starting QB than what the Bills, Cardinals and Raiders will have in 2013. And Tim would jolt those lackluster franchises as well and make them some money and make them relevant for a year or 2. I believe this. he has already done it in Denver and he can do it again. Sadly Tim is stuck with the Jets and that terrible coaching staff.

I believe, if you do the research, you'll find that Satan sent the
Jets to His Developmental League in New York. So, it's for "in Hell"
wanna-be's. No place for Tebow ... he should leave, not looking back
to avoid that salt-pack. :madevil:

Agreed. But maybe Tim sees the glass half full instead of half empty. I find it hard to believe Tebow and his agent are happy with Tim's current situation. I would rather Tebow be on the speech giving circuit then spend another season stuck with the Jets.

Rogdo, you are going way off topic, hijacking this thread, and are being rude to the OP. Try to stay on point please. ;)

Tebow is awesome!

That is all.
