Top 5 basketball venues in the SEC
Uhhh is this a joke? Memorial Gym at Vandy is on this list but no O'Connell Center? This cannot be serious. http://www.secsmack.com/2013/02/top-5-sec-basketball-venues.html

Re: Top 5 basketball venues in the SEC
Hmmm... My opinion is that of these POVs:
1. We are still seen as a football school, not BBall.
2. These top 5 have a capacity of 15k+
3. These schools actually fill the arena regularly.
These aren't in any order.

Re: Top 5 basketball venues in the SEC
As old as it is, 1979, the O'Dome is still one of the best multi-purpose facilities in the country... but that's what it is, a multi-purpose facility, not a "basketball venue". Capacity is low compared to most because seats are sacrificed to have space for the indoor track. Lower level seating is made up of backless "high school bleachers" so it can be pushed in to accomodate gymnastics, graduations, etc. There are no suites, premium seats, etc.
It is what it is and it has served us well... we'll see what the renovations bring.
