Good luck to our guys in Spring Ball, and I hope none of them get too banged up. We need them in the Fall. Coach WM will do a great job with this group.

I mostly agree with this. Although, I'd replace Dunker with Max Garcia. I think Garcia is too good to keep off the field and he'll take someone's job by the beginning of the season. Also, I'm curious to see if Debose can finally get it together and I wonder how much Pittman will contribute. I also expect Kent Taylor to start at TE, especially if he beefs up in the offseason.

I'll attempt to take a crack at the Defense:

BUCK - Powell
DT - Easley
DT - Jacobs
DE - Fowler
MLB - Morrison
SLB - Ball
WLB - McMillan/Anzalone (one of the Freshmen will start IMO)
CB - Roberson
CB - Purifoy
Nickel - Poole
SS - Maye
FS - Gorman

The secondary and linebacker positions are anybody's guess, but we have a lot of talent to choose from. Also, I think Vernon Hargreaves III will be the best corner on the team by the time he arrives on campus. I think he'll be a starter as a True Freshmen about midway into the season and not out of necessity. He's THAT good.

I like this one the most. There's no way we ever lose with 12 on D. In all seriousness, both sides of the ball are really hard to predict. The o-line adds 3 veterans, two of which seem versatile. The O will obviously use different groupings so there will be more than 11 starters. On D, the safeties are obviously the difficult area.

QB: JD
RB: Brown, Jones, Taylor/Lane
FB: Joyer, Burton
X: Debose, Robinson
Y: Patton, Bailey
Z: Dunbar, Pittman
TE: Taylor/ Thompson (based off formation. Taylor also at X at times)
LT: Humphries, Garcia
LG: Moore, Silberman
C: Harrison
RG: Jalapeno, Dunker
RT: Brown, Garcia

DE: Bullard, Q Williams
DT/NG: Cummings, Orr, Reed
Swing DT: Easley, Jacobs, Brantley
Buck: Fowler, McCallister, Sherit
SAM: RoPo, Ball, McMillian
Mike: Mike, Anzalone
Will: Morrison, Kitchens, Powell
BCB: Roberson, Watkins
FCB: Purifoy, Poole
Nickel: Poole, VH3
FS: Showers, Gorman, Harris (Watkins starts if he moves)
SS: Maye, Neal, Ledbetter

You stole my thunder, Boss!
The OP did not specify what sport, so I was going to chime in with my starting five in BB. I don't have a problem with your starting 5, but I suspect that Billy will go with Scottie over Hill and either Finney-Smith or Harris over Walker, to start the season anyway.

So here's my guess:
PG - Wilbekin
SG - Frazier
SF - Prather
PF - Yeguette
C - Finney-Smith or Harris (assuming Young goes pro)

As you proposed, I think those 2 freshman will work their way into the starting lineup at some point during the season. We are going to be very deep and talented next year.

Yes! Except, slide Young to the 5, if he stays. Walker isn't a post-up center. He is a freak of nature!

Will any of the new starters be BETTER than the player they are replacing? (my guess is a few of the OL's could be).

Which new starter/starters will be a SIGNIFICANT drop off from the previous year's starter?

Are any of them a "wash"?

I picture Koehne lining up with his roomies, Harrison and Halapio.

Add in Green and four starters on the OL will be seniors.

With more depth, we should be able to spread around the injuries and improve their play.

I might be one of the few but i dont see Brown being much of a contributor at RB especially with the new additions and Taylor getting a head start in the Spring. Everyone is already talking about how mature he is already. I see him easily splitting duties with Jones.

You already admitted in another thread you were related to the lead singer of Nickelback.

I am in agreement. But Brown improving and earning PT can't be anything but good for the team, so I'm hoping he at least is ready to compete and push for PT.

I agree with most of these. However, you have to take into account the other two offensive lineman transfers (Tyler Moore and Max Garcia). I think both of them are really going to push for playing time and perhaps become starters. They said last year that Garcia was really impressive in practice and Moore played in nine games as a true freshman at Nebraska. In my opinion those two will definitely be in the mix.

I hope Dunker gets his act together before he gets kicked off the team. Already two incidents with law enforcement, although minor... can't be making Champ happy with him.

Al, if those transfer OLs prove to be good/potential starters....and Dunker doesn't get hit shlt together, he might make that decision for WM. I hope he gets it together, but I've got little tolerance for the disrespect he's shown in his two arrests. Personally, I'd rather not see guys like that on our team.
