All Hail Merrill Hoge

Postby Alvin York » Mon Feb 11, 2013 12:51 am

Ran across these little witticism bashing the God of NFL soothsayers, Merrill Hoge, concerning the drafting of Andrew Luck.

Seems there are legions of Hoge Haters outside of Florida fans.

For example:

He’s an ex-fullback for God’s sake. How would he be qualified to assess any other position including QB? I’m sorry but that’s laughable. Isn’t ESPN owned by Disney? No wonder they have so many Mickey Mouse talking heads.

Yeah, and Hoge would’ve also taken Ryan Leaf over Peyton Manning…

Yeah, right. Like Hoge has time to break away from wh@cking off to incomplete Tebow passes in order to watch game footage.

:)

Alvin is correct about Hoge.
Hoge is basically a fool who probably suffers from brain damage due to his concussions. Wow, he played college ball at Idaho- big powerhouse. He likes to blast other folks, but it appears that his former wife booted him out.

Go Gators!

I made it a point a couple months ago to change channels whenever he's sitting at the podium. I can honestly say I haven't heard anything from him since mid-December. I doubt it's costing ESPN much in advertising revenue, but I sure feel a lot better. :)

Here's the point about Merrill Hoge that no viewer has seemed to grasp. What about the complete idiocy of spending 120 hours watching tape to persuade the public Andrew Luck was not worthy of being the first pick in the draft. Unbelievable! Any so called guru of NFL quarterbacking should be able to sample random passing plays on tape of various throws from touch to long vertical passes to analyze a quarterback's skill set

"Like Hoge has time to break away from wh@cking off to incomplete Tebow passes"

LOL

Best anti-Hoge remark I've ever read!

If you're so smart, why do you continue to come to a place where no one wants you around?

Hoge 'volatively' hates his wife because she has high moral character
and is a strong christian person. Ring any bells ?

Well it seems that a mod promised to ban anybody who posted it again, so it only seems logical that requesting it should get the same treatment.

What is wrong with it is that it wastes a lot of time going through the thread and is disrespectful to all who are trying to read it.

I won't bother to respond to your suggestion of something that is impossible, at least for anybody to do to me.

Incidentally, when Hoge called Tebow, "phony as a 3-dollar bill", I
did some research on this credit category = Philanthropy.

The only credit in all "glow-references" on Hoge's Philanthropy was :
The Highmark Caring Place :
a) A non-profit corporation providing a few "centers" for child grief
counseling and lots of free pamphlets
b) locally around Pittsburgh area.
c) Is an affiliate of Highmark Inc. BCBS, Concordia Insurance etc,
involving $14.3 billion in holdings.

Now that's a charity worthy of investigation. Highmark's Caring Place
does good works. My point is Hoge's minimal part.

One or more of Hoge's bio-web page lists him as "on" the Board of
Directors at Highmark, but "They" don't list him anywhere.? Might
Hoge be phoney as a $3 bill ?

He lends his famous name to a golf tournament-Highmark fundraiser.
"The Funeral Directors Association of America" also have even more
such fundraiser golfing contests. {Funeral parlors take Highmark grief counseling certification courses.} It's all one happy association of
profitable corporations doing good. :happyevil:

She saw the writing on the wall. With that mushy melon, it was only a matter of time before she would be feeding him his soup.
