Do You Recall 4 of the top 5 Losing in 1 Week Before?
So far this has been an amazing year.
I don't recall 4 of the top 5 losing in one week before and Duke got crushed by Miami the week before.
Every team in the top 5 lost in the last 2 weeks.
Do you think this week's 6 thorugh 10 will just move up to 1 through 5?

No Mary Poppins reference this time? Disappointing.

It's been a pretty bizarre basketball season, that's for sure. And the worst part is Miami might actually be the best team in the country.

I guess result of the easy OOC games being over.
Plus, targets on their backs.
Strong conferences' lesser teams (say, with underclassmen) improve.
Away games where a lesser team waylays them in buzzsaw fashion.
A mainstay player sits out.
Any other explains ?
Oh, in connect to thread-question : I heard an announcer say it has
never happened before. Has his historian fact-checked that ? IDK ?

I think that the "one and done" rule has reduced the quality of the best teams

Miami is pretty good - I saw them run a number on Duke.
The guy who surprises me is Kadji, when he was with the Gators he stood around in the paint straight legged and flat footed. He has developed, but still not good enough to beat out Patric or Murphy.

Assuming Indiana's win today is taken into consideration, I think Duke and Indiana are a lock for 1-2. Beyond that it gets a little cloudy. Michigan is 21-3 after its OT loss to Wisconsin, but they likely get No. 3. Zona's only got two losses, so they've gotta be in the mix, as do UF and Miami.

That Michigan-Wisconsin game was awesome. One of the better finishes I've ever seen.

Kenny Kadji was fat, slow, out of shape, and just simply not a hard worker when he was at UF. Congrats and kudos to him for working hard to become the player that he is now. He looks pretty good out there with Miami. Miami is a good team and look like a possible Final 4 team right now. Is the ACC down this year since Miami is at the top of their conference??

I wish we still had Kadji and he could have one a way to inspire himself while at Florida. Have WY out, Kadji would be nice depth ight now.
Also, to answer your other question, yes the ACC is down this year comparatively. They're still better than the SEC, but down from typical form.

If Miami beats Duke in Duke's House, then Miami will be in the Final 4.
Miami is big, 2-- 6'10" and 1-- 6'11" decent offensive/defensive players
getting better and better. Miami is scary getting scarier.
(UM has 3 more 6'10"+ guys, young & in-waiting).
Indiana, Arizona, Duke, Kansas, and Michigan have a strong inside
offense compared to us. Their outside shooting is good too.
Teams of this "nature" will be the toughest to eliminate from the
March tournament.
Little more than a month to that blitzkrieg called March Madness.
Gets started March 17th. Boy, basketball seems to travels fast.
Doubt there will be upsets from here on....
Unless UM wins get called upsets.

Here's to hoping Will can get back and in top game shape by 2nd round of March Madness.
The blessing in disguise is if Casey can become fully incorporated into UF's Offense. He's one of the best slashers out there and can give them an added dimension with the right spacing.

Arizona lost today, meaning 6 top 10 teams lost this week. I have no clue what the rankings will look like tomorrow past Duke being #1.

I don't think there's any way the Zags jump that high, they just don't play a tough enough schedule to warrant top 2 status. I could certainly see Miami in the top 3, though. And there's no way Oklahoma St jumps all the way into the top 10. A lot of teams lost, but it's rare that you see anyone make that kind of jump (despite Miami jumping 10 spots a couple weeks ago).

I think you contradicted yourself 4 different times in that one post.

We'll see. I was just throwing out crazy logic and seeing what sticks. Like you, I have no clue and it's just my guess.

I think he's right that Gonzaga doesn't jump that high. They haven't played anyone. We all know they'll be a threat in the tournament, but until then it's all hypothetical based on their weak schedule.

Last year was the same way. The #1 team kept losing and about 5 or 6 diff teams swapped into/out of that position. It's becoming the norm and points to parity.

Heck, Duke almost lost to BC yesterday - they were down by 5 with 2 minutes to play and squeaked out a 1 point victory. That would have been all Top 5 teams going down in one week.
