Talk about stupid reporting...

Postby willgetin » Fri Feb 08, 2013 10:35 am

Here's an AP article from John Marshall.
http://news.yahoo.com/title-favorites-tough-mens-basketball-091416391--spt.html

Dang, man, how hard is it to get your facts straight? Ervin Walker? You didn't even spell it right, forgetting the fact that he's not even on the team anymore. 18-2? Really? I thought the Arky loss was our third. Wonder how many mistakes are in the article for the other teams...

Florida. The Gators are No. 2 this week, but also figure to fall a few spots after a looks-bad-on-the-resume loss to Arkansas on Tuesday. Florida has one of the nation's most dynamic backcourts in Kenny Boynton, Mike Rosario and Ervin Walker and a multidimensional front line anchored by powerful Patric Young. The Gators have dominated most games, but allowed Arizona to score seven points in the final 56 seconds in a one-point loss in December and struggled at both ends in a loss to Kansas State a week later. Florida got on a roll after that, winning 10 straight games, but had a huge letdown in the loss to the Razorbacks. Still, 18-2 and with a lineup like that, they figure to make a decent run in the NCAA tournament.
Calling that moron a Muhammad Atta was out of bounds and wrong, I got carried away as Vol fans tend to do from time to time. Quote by Alvie Dork

If any of us here were getting career pay for any sports article,
we would spend hours getting all things accurate plus making it
"ours" fully interesting product. This guy just dogged-it for 'probly'
a 30-minute 8 hour day.

Wow, just wow.

Here is some stupid reporting for you.

Rotoworld: ESPN's Trent Dilfer believes, when eligible, Florida State freshman QB Jameis Winston will "be the first pick of the draft if the first pick goes to a team that wants to run the pistol, zone-read, (and) have a passer."
Winston "will be an absolute rock star," Dilfer said. That is lofty praise for a quarterback that has yet to take a snap for a college program. With EJ Manuel jumping to the NFL, Winston is set up to possibly start for the Seminoles in 2013.

@BFeldmanCBS: Cam Cameron is LSU's new OC, a source just confirmed to CBS. Cameron and Miles have been tight for years.

In fairness to Dilfer, he was the first (and one of the few) bspn nfl analysts who changed his opinion of Tebow as the 2011 season progressed. He emphasized Tebow's leadership and intangibles and quit harping on his mechanics when others refused to admit that maybe Tebow was the reason for the inexplicable wins.

As much as I'd love to bash anyone who pumps up an f$u signee or their entire class, I think Dilfer has a proven level of integrity and willingness to look at the whole picture and not focus purely on stats and hype.

That said, f$u sucks! :nole:
