I know he's only a 3 * recruit, but he looks promising. The guy is huge at 6'5 238 lb, and supposedly he's got an absolute cannon for an arm-- he's listed as pr style QB, but is apparently pretty mobile. thoughts?

I think with the recruitment of a big time RB, and some nice looking WR-- Muschamp is definitely moving on the whole pro-style offense thing; this guy could be starting really soon if Driskell doesn't learn to throw fast!

Saw him play twice this year along with Ramsey and they both were easily the two best players on the field. But in the state of Tennessee that might not be saying much.

I wasn't whining, just voicing my appreciation for the gif.

As long as he can hit the open receiver and doesn't take needless sacks, I'm fine with him.

Re: Ok, so what do you guys think of Max Staver?
Just reviewed some of Staver's highlights.
The good:
1. Great arm
2. Quick release
3. Good accuracy
4. Goes through his progressions
The bad:
1. Footwork is a little sloppy, gets flat-footed in the pocket
2. Scrambling is so-so, can get a first down but not athletic like JD
3. Doesn't seem like a solid 230 lbs.
Hard to say not knowing how good his competition was. Looks like he has all the tools though once he gets his footwork cleaned up.

Re: Ok, so what do you guys think of Max Staver?
i have watched some highlights of him but the only problem with that and all hs highlights are these high D1 athletes are usually by far the best athletes on the field every game...so really you can only take so much info from them. He is big and appears to have a strong arm and has some decent scrambling ability but is not JD fast which is ok. I think he is a very solid prospect that won't be expected to compete for the starting job and will have time to grow. He'll then compete with the Grier kid after JD leaves.
I wouldn't get all wrapped up in stars all the time...that heisman winning and #1 NFL draft pick from Oklahoma a few years back was only a 3*

I'm looking forward to Skyler hitting the field.

Thanks, but I decline to answer.
It doesn't matter, we're going down with the ship.

None of us have a clue right now. He certainly has the size to be an NFL QB.....or could grow into a TE.
We certainly have enough bodies, if you count Guy (another 3-star).

Never seen him play. But a quality tweeter. Seems like a good kid that will give you his best effort.

So, "Law" takes the 5th. It's 3:48, so probly his third 5th today.
Oh and "Law" told me: "I think AA meetings would up their meetings'
attendance, if they let every 4th member bring a fifth."
