Are the Gators the favorite..
to win it all in BB if beal stays? It seems this year we are playing better team basketball, but the lineup is pretty much the same minus beal. do we win the title hands down if he stayed?

No.
It doesn't work like that. It is easy to say we would be better with Beal but we don't really know that because it would change many things that are driving the team's improvement.
Would the chemistry be the same?
Would Wilbekin be as confident?
Would Wilbekin be getting nearly as many minutes?
Would Rosario and Prather have as big of roles?
I could go on and on. Bradley is a great player but every team is different and his departure may have caused the overall team to get better.
Ever heard the phrase addition by subtraction?

It's so hard to tell. I never suspected the 04's would be as good as they turned out to be before their first year starting after losing a bunch of decent starters or that losing nick calathes would catapult the team. Granted, we may not have beaten world beaters, but the dominance we have shown so far in our victories must raise eyebrows in the rest of the college basketball world.

The chemistry wouldn't be the same so no I say we would not have. Sometimes it's just having the right players on the floor and we are fortunate this year with the different lineups we can put on the floor and not lose anything in the change

As of last week, we were the odds on favorite in Vegas to win it all.

In college bball chemistry, and styles trump talent more often than not. We can all agree that Beal is a better overall player than Lee Humphrey, but putting him with the oh fours makes them a worse team. if beal is on this team we would be in a more of an isolation focused offense for Beal. That would take away this teams best attribute on offense which is ball movement.
