De'Ante 'Pop' Saunders transfers to Tennessee State
After a somewhat tumultuous past season with the Florida Gators that eventually led to him being released from the team, sophomore defensive back De'Ante 'Pop' Saunders confirmed via text message on Thursday he has enrolled at Tennessee State University.

He will be playing against Florida A&M instead of Florida State.

I'm quite disappointed that 3 former Gators have gone to one of our rivals..
"Pop" Saunders
A.C. Leonard
A linebacker from a few years ago. Can't quite remember his name. I want to say John Jones...

The FAMU-Tennessee State rivalry has been a long one going back over 50 years. While each team has had some win streaks, I think overall that the series is pretty even.

One of my favorite old NBA players was a TSU grad.....Dick Barnett of Knicks fame. Kicked his legs up behind him when shooting his J! Noted for the bank shot! Willis, Clyde, Debush, Dollar Bill Bradley vs, Elgin, West, Wilt.....hard to believe it's been so long since the Knicks won anything....

It has been relatively even, although I'd rather it wasn't. Hopefully our new coach (Earl Holmes - Pro Bowl lb with the Pittsburgh Steelers) can get us back over the winning hump. He kind of reminds me of Muschamp. Defensive guy who wants his coaches to have pro experience. Hopefully the results are similar.

I went to a Tennessee State game this past season. I was wearing gator stuff (of course) which struck up a conversation with an older gentleman who told me he was Jeff Demps' grandfather. Does anyone know if the Demps family has any connections to Tennessee State?
Tennessee State has a good team and their fans traveled well. Their side of the stadium was pretty full.

They're both black, but now I'm thinking this is a trick question.

I don't know the connection but I've seen him around. He's hard to forget:
