Whatever. Dude was almost outta here after the St. Augustine fiasco. I think he is the one player this team can not afford to lose.

Lurking. Just wanted to say Murphy is my favorite Gator since David Lee. A great all around talent

Maybe sucking it up with rib pain taught him something about
himself ? Even not fully-safely healed he's become more commanding.
It's like he's turning it up down this 2nd half stretch toward tourney
plays. Wish Young's game would take such a jump. I think Yeguete
and Prather are going to be fiery. The overall inside is progressing.

I still think he's too slow and can't handle the ball well enough to make it in the NBA. He also can't take it strong to the hoop without getting his shot blocked the majority of the time.
Yeah, he dunked against Mizzou, but how many times has he done that?
He's similar to Bonner, but not as quick or as good a ball handler.
I'm all for Murph and believe he is a very important part of this team; I just think he's going to end up in Europe playing his pro ball. Hope I'm wrong.

Murphy can't jump over a credit card but when you're 6'10 you can pretty much touch the rim by extending your arms.

Muphy has a better post game than Bonner and has shown that he can play good interior D. He actually blocks a lot of shots and is not as slow as you think he is (he looked a lot quicker up close than I thought he was). I agree that he can't handle the ball, but any 6'10 guy who can shoot like he can and post up will get a shot in the NBA.

I don't doubt that he WILL get a shot at the NBA, I just don't think he sticks. He can successfully post up against smaller opponents in college, but in the NBA he is going get dominated down low. He does not go strong enough to the hoop and teams are not going to stick him out there just to shoot 3-pointers when he can't dribble himself out of trouble or create a shot off the dribble, similar to what Parson's can do. I wish him the best, but I just don't see him being productive in the NBA. Just my opinion.

As I recall, Murphy was "exhibit A" for a certain roundtable hater who said Donovan wasn't recruiting the right players. Murphy doesn't have the same wow factor that Patrick Young has, but I like his ability to threaten the paint and the 3 pt line.

Unless Young can develop a shot other than the 5-6' hook, Murphy will be a much better pro.

Young is projected 1st round and Murphy 2nd round.
Both will be pros and make it in the league.

I agree. I think Murphy is more versatile and still has a lot of room to grow and become more aggressive. I don't know if Young can fix his "stiffness" and rock hands. Hopefully both can latch on somewhere.
