ESPN Lets Rob Parker Go
Kudos to ESPN for doing the right thing in letting Rob Parker go after his ignorant, racist commentary about Robert Griffin III.

I'm sure this will give him more free time to devote to "the cause." Whatever the heck THAT is...

His comments were ridiculous. I can't believe he said some of that stuff... Then again it was first take. The whole exchange between him and Skip was distasteful.

I am glad that he faces ramifications for his beyond racist comments but it doesn't solve the larger issue. The fact that he and many other African Americans actually think like he does.
You cannot address racism in America until you are willing to completely define and acknowledge it beyond the obvious forms.

This is the 'sabotaging' effect of that "Rob Parker" ingrained attitude :
48 years ago, America launched the greatest impetus (integration) at
erasing 'the racial divide' (integration). And that had to do with ALL IN
for Education, plugging-in to tried & true manners of merited success.
This is exactly what Rob Parker was blowing up on national detonation.

Now ESPN should let Musberger go for his inappropriate comments of Miss Alabama.

Yeah, cause calling her a Jock Hoe, and he didn't actually come right out and say it, even if she is one, won't cut it on ESPN. But constantly trying to defame and deface Tim Tebow is perfectly acceptable. Right? He says "any young boys out there, get out and throw the ball around with your pop, and you might have a shot one day at a nice looking lady like this". That equates to the kind of hate TT faces every day, and the racism displayed by Mr. Parker? You have a warped sense of reality if you think so.

Give me a break! The larger issue? The larger issue is the, "many other African Americans" thinking in this way?! Wow, the blinding white light that's so prevalent on this board is absurd and nauseating.

"Gatorstomp" your post has no merit .... but I guess that works for those
shaded from that white light of a merit based society that supports all.

What, or who/whom, is an "African American"?

That is a term someone came up with to attach to black/brown skinned Americans of African decent. Why exactly they felt the necessity to separate themselves from the rest of the American population, I still don't understand. Americans are Americans in my book. Skin color, what country their great, great, great grand parents came from is really no concern to me. You fly that red/white/and blue star spangled banner, and you're my people.
Not everyone sees things this way, unfortunately.
