Well...we lost another one...

Jelani Jenkins heading to the NFL...per GatorCountry.

IMO...I'm not sure this is a good or bad move, but I still don't see him as anything more than a mid-round pick and that's what surprises me. I know Muschamp said he'd tell anyone who's projected in the first round to go, so it must be another "can't wait to get out of here" type of moves - similar to Reed. This definately hurts us.

Let's just hope Easly stays!

I think so. He's a very athletic lber with good range. I think that he was only 16 years old when he enrolled at UF. Some team will take a flyer on him in 3rd or 4th round.

Now that's a shocker. I thought he would stay for sure. Explains why the coaches are going so hard after more recruits in this class even though it had seemed like we reached our limit.

I believe he already has his degree. He was a red shirt junior this past year, so he has been on campus for four years and all the guys he came in with are gone. I don't know why this is shocking, him and Evans were trying sublease their place and were leaving behind their furniture in December.

I'm very surprised by this as well. I'm not sure what this trend says but you should remember that most of these kids were not Muschamp's recruits and they've been through a lot over the past 3 years. They might just be ready to move on so why not attempt the NFL and possibly land a 6-7 figure salary?

I for one think it is a mistake for Jenkins and Easley and Reed but I could be wrong. Floyd is ready and I don't think Elam is going to increase his stock by staying plus he (along with floyd) have families they want/need to take care of. Perhaps the same can be said for Reed but I don't know his story.
