ND Opponent's Bowl Results

Postby CapitalGator02 » Sun Jan 06, 2013 3:29 pm

ND's regular season opponents went 3-6 in bowls this year, with 3 opponents not even bowl eligible.

Average Loss Margin: 24 pts
Average Win Margin: 8 pts

Navy L
Purdue L
MSU W
Michigan L
Miami Not Eligible
Stanford W
BYU W
Oklahoma L
Pitt L
BC Not Eligible
Wake Not Eligible
USC L

Not really trying to prove a point, just interesting to see that a team that once had the #1 strength of schedule ended up having such pathetic opponents in the regular season. Hopefully Bama stomps them out!

Because I'm too lazy, how does this match up to Bama's opponents in bowl games?

Bammer can win but they'd better show up.

:exactly:

They better not walk in there and think just cause they are Bama and from the SEC, that they've got this.

What did I see yestrday?.....

Oh yeah, the past 2 MNC teams favored by 10+ points LOST.

Has no bearing on tomorrow's game. I am an SEC homer, but USCe was very lucky to beat Michigan.

One of the things Saban preaches is you don't let the other guy or other team define who you are. If you are of good character and you want to be the best you can be, and you buy into that, then you put your head down and play as hard against Jacksonville State as you do against Notre Dame.

It doesn't always turn out that way, but that is what you coach.

Alabama will show up.

Of course it has no bearing. Just a shot at ND fans who always fall back on their strength of schedule claim.

The interesting part is the difference b/w Bama and ND's opponent's average win margin...

 ..... No :madevil:

I'm speaking of actual MNC games. The last 2 BCS Championship games that had a 10pt.+ favorite, the favorite lost outright.
