While everyone here is wallering in their misery of a loss to Louisville, I thought this could add some perspective on real life.

Sounds like the Honey Badger was scared straight during his time in jail. He sounds like a young man that truly gets what he did wrong and fixed it. Too many of these guys never accept their problem with drugs and blame everything/everyone else. He's definitely lost himself a lot of money over the past year. But if I'm a team looking for a good corner I'd be willing to risk a draft choice on him after reading that story. (ahem, Jacksonville)

This should be a lesson to anyone thinking drugs are going to fix your problems or ease your pain.

Good talent and terrible actor. I don't buy it. He is hoping to get drafted and sign a deal. Once the $$ is not an issue, he will go back to using. To be a true thug means you havent had it good your whole life, and you intend to change that, and get out of the ghetto if thats where you are, you do whats right, you dont take **** from anyone, and stand up for your friends and dont let them take **** from anyone! Debating the legality of pot should be be in the political pit...and that's not really what this is about. Whether it should be legal (i think it should be and i don't smoke it) is not the issue. Whether there are other violent criminals out there that they should be focusing on is not the issue. What is fact is that it is illegal and it is against the NFL's rules. He knows it's illegal and chose to do it to the point where he was kicked off the team. He was let back in school and was gearing up to return next season and despite previously being kicked off he continued to smoke it. This shows a serious lack of judgement on his part. If i were an NFL exec and trying to decide on drafting him this would play a big part. Did he really learn his lesson? Will he continue to use and thus get to the point where he misses games that he shouldn't be because he's not smart enough to stop smoking? Fact is the kid keeps making the same stupid decisions and for reasons that only he knows but going on TV and "crying" about it does nothing for his rep.
