Time to prepare for the NCAAs and the Dukes and Indianas of the world.

William has had success in getting his teams to the middle rounds of the dance with a three point oriented attack led by coach favorites such as Bonner. Walsh, Werner, Parsons, and now Murphy. The problem though is that when the shots weren't falling then the Gators would fail. Donovan claimed the prize though when he had Horford, Noah and Richard in the paint.

Live by the three, die by the three. Donovan knows that dance. Young and Yeguete should have their way with anybody they lineup against. Let Murphy popout for a couple threes. Don't want to not utilize a players talent. A few more balls thrown into the post and a few less shots from outside.This should lead to more consistency on offense. Do you really want to see Boynton or Rosario jacking up bricks when it really counts? Gators would probably be undefeated if there was more Patrick and less 3-ball. Young can be an All-America with about 4 more shots a game. I believe Young can dominate Zeller,Plumlee and Noel if given the chance

Young will be a star in the League when he goes after this season. No reason he can't be a star now in a weak SEC

Uhhhhhhhh, Kuby, this is what we talked about the past 2 seasons after the 2 losses in the Elite Eight. That's what doomed UF vs Butler and Louisville. Nice to see you're slowly returning to your backhanded compliments of Donovan again. I'm surprised Q-tip hasn't been showing up after the 2 losses.

OHHHHK! I think you answered your own post Kuby. By your own admission he already knows it.

This team is terminally flawed in that its most confident shooter at crunch time is also its most streaky.

It certainly won't hurt to work the ball inside more to Young and Yeguete, but unless Boynton, Rosario, Murphy et al can gain a higher level of consistency from outside, it's going to be defense that determines how far we go.

IMHO in order of importance, this team needs to :

1. Read my posts.
2. Demand more power-up by Patric, feed him well.
3. Murphy become a bit more Chandler-Parsoney = drive in more
4. Get Boynton taking just a fewer shots = get % up to 40%
5. Trial at getting Frazier as a hot 3 point shooter (he hits 40%)
6. See if Prather can keep his team-high FG % with shooting more ?
7. Keep Scotty at point so he gets even better.
8. Don't let Rosario take the most shots after cold 1-6 start.
9) Let Yeguete continue being Yeguete

Wanting to get more post play and getting it are a little different. Billy's offense has always been predicated on an outside in approach. making threes opens the inside. Basketball 101.
