I don't quite get this and never did during the season when it was being speculated. Oh well. Good luck I guess.

Re: Reed Announces
Where is he even predicted to be drafted at? 6th round?? He really hasn't done much and could have come back and really improved his stock with a huge senior season. Not a good move IMO. Good Luck. Go Gators!!

Re: Reed Announces
Maybe NE will pick him up in the 6th or 7th round and he will flourish.

Re: Reed Announces
There's not much playing time in the NFL for a TE that can't block.
This will benefit us. We can move on to the two top TEs we have waiting in the wings.

my thoughts exactly.
Reed could stay and be productive, maybe learn to be more of a WR because he isn't much of a blocker. But UF is better off with this and we have a free scholarship to use on the talent we have coming in.
Plus, when a WR moves on this should be good since they are the problem right?

Re: Reed Announces
He's an athlete and that's it. He is not a natural pass catcher and he can't block like a TE should be able to.

Can't believe he would give up on his Rhodes Scholarship that quickly.

Re: Reed Announces
Reed has been one of the few productive players on the offensive side of the ball but our offense really hasn't given anyone much of a stage to enhance draft stock. One prognosticator has him going in the second or third round, though. http://walterfootball.com/draft2013TE.php

Re: Reed Announces
I wish him well, but he definately is not an Aaron Hernandez. He would have been beter off to stay for one more year to hone his skills.
Good luck Jordan.

I, for one, am a little surprised he decided to make the leap.
