Superstition
Very superstitious: We’re now 0-3 in orange pants and blue jerseys. Then again, that could just mean we’re due for a win in that getup. The real problem is it’s ugly. Ugly unis don’t project strength.
Less superstitious: Players should never, EVER, predict a win. It can’t accomplish anything good. It always provides motivation for your opponents, and their fans. It’s unfair to your teammates to do anything that might give the other guys an advantage.
Not superstitious: The fact that Hines predicted not just a win but a blowout says that, despite all the talk of a “businesslike attitude” and high intensity practices, the Gators did not take Louisville seriously. For anyone on a team that was lucky to beat Louisiana to think they were gonna blow out a top 25 team in a spotlight game shows Boom has some work to do on players’ attitudes.

Re: Superstition
I'm more worried starting the season off with a loss. Last year we started with a win and ended with a win.
