Doesn't sound like Jacoby Brissett will transfer

Postby Zach Abolverdi » Sat Dec 29, 2012 6:23 pm

@PBPjasonlieser: Gators QB Jacoby Brissett's HS coach has advised him to transfer but Brissett won't listen because "he loves it there.

Will he still feel that way if he sits on the bench all of next season?

I think he may change his mind if he leaves spring and still on the bench. Having a spring where he is not taking half the snaps may have impacts

Good for Jacoby. He's a true Gator. And it will be very possible we will need his talents next season. With Driskel's style of play it will be surprising to see him get thru the next two seasons without getting knocked out of at least one game. I know some hope Jacoby leaves to make room for another commitment, but if he loves UF he deserves to wear orange and blue.

Well perhaps we will be better on O next year and he can run the O in the fourth quarter of some games.

Remember Tom Brady at Michigan? Not much of a starter and how'd that turn out?

Good news. I think he's a heckuva back-up and would make a quality starter. Hope he continues to work hard and push Driskell for playing time. Competition is a good thing.

Maybe he'll not have to come on the field to play and they could give him a redshirt allowing him to start in his senior year.

How many reps he gets in practice isn't the telling factor. What will make or break Brissett's chance to make the pros is if the quality of game snaps enables him to put up some decent numbers. If he can do that, he'll have proved he's worth a draft pick. If that's the case, the NFL will find a way to turn him into a pro and get him on the field.

I'm glad to hear this....but wouldn't have any problem if he leaves. He's 6'4 230+. He could be a starter at any number of schools....and a school that has more than 6 scholarship WRs!

Will he still feel that way if he sits on the bench all of next season?

Discuss.

Brissett is as good as gone, knowing zach's reporting record.

Looks like Zach slept with someone’s girlfriend on his last trip to Atlanta.

Pros? He can't even beat out Driskel and you bring up the Pros?
