Tebow explained things and things went down with the Jets as I suspected. But Tebow got blamed by idiots like Merrill Hoge and will continue to do so. WTF is with Rex Ryan talking Tebow into the Jets over the Jags and doing this to Tim all frreaking season? Crazy. Woody Johnson should be embarrassed by Ryan's treatment of Tebow.
hell Johnson should just be embarrassed by his franchise.- Scott512

Re: Tebow gives his side...
Jaworski sticks up for Tebow's truth = he did not ask out of anything.
Tim issued the true statement that he never asked out of anything.
Tim said he went to talk "man to man" with Rex Ryan about wanting
to play QB. That's seeking an answer about the career that is his
dream. And the 15-20 snaps per game Ryan & Sparano presented
to him that made the Jets offering a STRAIGHT CHANCE at winning
the QB job. That proposition convinced Tim he needn't pursue
getting involved with Jax, his home town.
But Hoge kept pushing the lie and stacking up on it. He stated that
Tim "is not only a lousy football player, he's not a teammate, he's a
liar as phony as a 3 dollar bill. He goes to the coach and demands
he play QB."
Then he looks at the camera, pretends he's addressing the Jaguar
Organization and says "Let me tell you Jacksonville, if you take Tim
Tebow, he will set your operation back many years."
That all smacks of malice i.e. tying Hoge's lies about what Tebow
said to Ryan to build a statement directed at harming Tebow's
future = "You better not hire Tim Tebow."
Even if Jax isn't planing on hiring Tebow, Kahn should issue this
statement "I was seriously considering dealing to get Tebow but
after Meryl Hoge's strong statement on how Tebow isn't a team
player, I've decided not to hire Tebow." Bet that would give Hoge
& his personal attorney some thoughts. And just maybe others
about excessive damning of Tebow.

I think a "defamation" lawsuit is in order. Need to show these talking heads that their words have consequences.

I'm not an attorney, but I understand that as a "public person," Tebow has very limited recourse in suing asshats like Hoge, et. al. But, that doesn't mean Tim's friends can't meet up with morons like Hoge in a dark alley some time...

So either Tebow is telling the truth, or the unnamed sources (cowards afraid of being called out) are correct and he is straight up lying

Tim can argue that Merrill's remarks are false and have damaged his earning ability thus asking for remedy. Especially if he doesn't find work in the NFL next year.
I think he has a shot if the statements have no merit (are false).
I would take the case....

Hoge isn't worth the oxygen. Best for the truth to play out and he will look even more foolish. Maybe Ditka will kick his ass on camera.

So well said Rog. Hoge comes accross as f*cking crazy, psychotic and defaming of Tebow with lies. And Hoge said Tebow is a lousy football player. That is crap too. Tebow freaking saved the Broncos season last year and made it a memorable when it was going nowhere. Tim had a winning record as a starting QB and twice as many TD passes as INT and was very clutch. How is that a lousy football player? How does BSPN put up with this from this loser and never was in Hoge?
Why is Hoge defaming Tebow? None of Tebow's other critics are going there except this imbicile Hoge. If I was Tim I would never do jack sh*t for BSPN again. Crazy. And has Hoge looked at the Jaguars in recent years? He thinks Tebow would set them back many years? What about Gabbert, Hoge? Talk about setting a franchise back. Tebow would lift the Jaguars franchise as a starting QB or as a role player. That is not setting the franchise back.
Maybe Tebow should get his attorney to step in for him where the defaming lies of Merrill Hoge are concerned. Maybe it's time for Tim and Team Tebow to start pushing back instead of turning the other cheek because we know what happens when Tim turns the other cheek. That one gets smacked too. Such a shame a great young man has to put up with this garbage from garbage like Hoge and garbage like BSPN.
Oh and that stooge Rex Ryan helped create this terrible mess too.Last edited by Scott512 on Thu Dec 27, 2012 12:09 am, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Tebow gives his side...
While it would be nice to see a lawsuit occur that would probably end up settled for a small amount and simultaneously end Hoge's ESPN career, we all know that Tim won't go there.
What is another stunning display of Tim's character is that he referred to Ryan as a man....talked to him "man to man".

You'd lose. I agree that he's probably a "public figure".

Re: Tebow gives his side...
I actually think what will play out next is the drama of Tebow defending himself from Hoge's personal vendetta. It will become an ESPN reality show, taking first place in cable news away from The Factor. Hoge is being paid the big bucks to stir the pot. Tim will eventually do a face-to-face with Hoge to clear the air. Hoge will break down crying and Tim will show him the way to the Lord on the national broadcast. Then Tim announces he's running on the Republican ticket against Hillary in 2016. Tim feels bad for O'Reilly and hires him as his speechwriter. O'Bama moves back to Ireland.

Not his ex, at least she had good sense to get away from his sorry ass.

Re: Tebow gives his side...
Not many Gators doubt Tebow in any regard. Every person should stand up for themselves when their character is questioned.
Beyond that, Tebow is a high-profile celebrity that makes a lot of money on ads and endorsements. The New York media circus is running all three rings for this story.
I'll be glad for him, when he gets to a better situation and another NFL team.

e isw a completely viscious moron. ESPN is losing a lot of respect in that they allow "####for brains" Hoge continue his character attackes against Tebow. I guess we can assume that Hoge is "anti-Christian" Perhaps he is a closet raghead or something.
