In theory, this is correct. There is some unproven talent that SHOULD be an upgrade, but we won't know until they prove it on the field.

That said, If a player isn't earning his way out of the doghouse, he's not contributing by standing on the sideline... We also don't want more of the meyer "circle of trust" crap that seemed to be more about talent-based entitlement than discipline and teamwork. I trust Champ to handle the personnel decisions.

Pop was undersized for either safety spot, but he tried hard. Would not say he was crazy talented, but he was pretty decent in underneath coverages or as the nickel. However as the single free safety or even as one of the safetys in 2 Deep, he was nothing short of awful. He let guys get behind him way too often and was typically late getting to where he was suppossed to be. I hope some of this so called young talent will be able to be a good free safety in coverage.

If Pop thinks Charlie Strong will tolerate his childish behavior, he's wrong. He couldn't get things right, at UF,so, he better find somewhere else, other than Louisville. Strong will bench him, as well? Hopefully, he'll lose his entitlement mentality and realize that there's been much more talented players not make it. If he thinks he's special, he's in trouble! Apparently, he believes he's special and above the rules or he would have humbled himself and did what he had to do at UF.
