We didn't drop as far as many feared we would. Still a lot of time to right the ship and get back into #1 seed contention. GO GATORS!!

The losses were to quality opponents, but I'm trying not to take too much from relative stability. We've got too many issues to overcome on how to attack the basket.

Rankings mean nothing right now since there is a ton of basketball still left to be played. I'm not worried and think we will work everything out just fine. Go Gators!!

I'd rather us drop a bit at this point.

That pretty much sums it up.
If Boyton and Rosario hit one more 3 pointer each, it's a tie game. They both shot horribly and that won't happen very often. It was essentially an away game and KSU came to play in the first half and we did not. Our perimeter D was atrocious in the opening half and we couldn't hit a layup. We'll be fine and Boynton will get his confidence back.
Go Gators!

First, the team has to distribute the shots-taken so the team can
get its highest point production. Once you get that "routine" down,
you can adjust when a player or two has an "off" shooting night by
letting "on" teammates take more shots.
Boynton: 37-103... FG % 35.9% ----- 17-61 3pt % = 27.9%
Wilbekin 26-55... FG % 43.2% ------12-28 3pt = 42.9%
Frazier 19-44 .... FG% 43.2% -----14-35 3pt = 40%
K.B. is least likely to hit a shot than all 7 of our regular players.
But you can see he takes twice the # of shots as Frazier or Wilbekin.
If Boynton took 75 shots, Wilbekin 69 shots, Frazier 58 shots, the
team should have scored 22 more points. That surely would have
prevented one loss, maybe two.
The fact is that Boynton will have to hit 60 % both 2s & 3s all the
remaining games just to catch up with freshman Frazier's %s,
better than that to match Wilbekin, Young, Murhpy, Prather.
Everyone agrees with "feed the hot hand"... well every shooter we
have is a "hot hand" compared to Boynton's cold.
Boynton shouldn't be "working" on his shot during tight important
games. I bet the annual tournament winners have more sensible shot distribution.
Still, when Kenny has a hot hand, he can take more shots.
Rosario is also one who overshoots when he's ice cold.

The ranking means nothing right now. It's more important that we get back to playing good team defense with better distribution of the ball on offense.
