That's a very good Atlanta team. Seeing as they would likely be matched against a team like the Giants in the first round, you'd have to think this is the year.

Geez...I hope so! As a Falcons fan, we've been the epitome of mediocrity for a long time. The last few years have been great, but Matt Ryan needs to get the proverbial playoff monkey off his back. I'm hoping this is the year the Falcons can get over the hump. The defense is playing lights out right now, so hopefully that bodes well for the playoffs.

They played a complete game today as last week In Carolina they didn't show up.
If they take this win as momentum into the playoffs...... they will win a playoff game and maybe more

Well... I'd say continuously knocking on the door is a valid way to
finally get in. It would be an interesting SB to see 2 newcomers
play -- like S.F. versus the Falcons. But the Patriots are sailing now.
And there are others up & coming = Seahawks.?? Good for NFL .

Well, the Niners and the Falcons are both NFC, but I agree withe the "newcomer" premise. Last year I thought the Niners and the Ravens wouldda been cool matching up the Hargaugh brothers. (Although I am NOT a Raven fan...)

False. He has never thrown over 200 yards in a plaoff game and he has 4 ints to 3 tds. He sucks in the post season.

not bashing the falcons but, i'm a giants fan and i wouldn't take much from that win. we are so jeckyl and hyde and have lots of injuries. you just never know which Giant team is going to show up. but, i do believe the falcons can make a run if they stay focused.

The issue is being from Atlanta. I have suffered through too many great regular seasons and early exits by the Braves.
