When Stephen A Smith is a voice of reason you know that show has gone off the deep end.
Boobs were here.

Not a big fan of Stephen A. but his reaction at the end expressed my thoughts perfectly: "I'm uncomfortable with where we just went"

Why is this guy on the air? Besides being an idiot, he looks like a homeless guy in a Goodwill Store suit.

And that's after they clean him up. Imagine what he looks like before he gets to the studio.

Re: A new low for ESPN and First Take
Where that went was straight to black on black Racism. RGIII,
a whole person, who happens to be black, raised well by an
in tact family, who speaks correctly, and very sensibly, cannot
possibly be acceptable as a "brother" representing the black race.
That is the penultimate of Racism.
It's ugly, and shows the incorrigibility of one group's acceptance
to the highest standards a society has evolved to through education
and success-path replication. Someone's trumpeting that RGIII is
not to be embraced as a credit to the black race-- i.e. not a "brotha".
Ergo, by his respect for education (white man's ?), mainstream
societally-rewarded standards (white's), political self-thinking etc.=
all bad things of an "Uncle Tom". Incorrigible = the dashed hopes of
the great integration experiment ongoing 50+ years now.

I give this one an hour before it ends up in the Political Forum. Isn't really a sports issue.

Sports heroes become heroes of this entire nation. This attack on a
budding sports hero's societal representation just might be touching
on the highest worth of sports.

Agree, this isn't much about sports, rather, it's about this increasingly prevalent notion that black people who are Republicans, aren't truly black. This racist notion has become so mainstream, fueled by the media, that idiots like this not only believe it, but actually go on tv and talk about it freely, apparently without repercussion.
This is one of the many reasons I've totally tuned-out politics since this last election.

Somebody please define what a cornball brother is. I think I know, however I may be too white. Was Alphonso Ribeiro's charactor Carlton Banks a cornball brother?

Wow...Parker has shown that he is a racist from day 1. He just reiterated it by claiming there is a "cause". Anyone who doesn't know why the black community continues to be fragmented, look no further. Rush Limbaugh got fired over less.

....Which begs the question, Mr. 'Mattfume' just how do you know
that Stephen A. Smith wears "Depends" ?

Allow me to set the table for him:
This guy should be run out of the business on a rail for making such a racist statement.

Is Washington a cornball brother for bragging about his white girlfriends?
