Less Tebow on ESPN??
Maybe the soap opera will end and they'll start treating him like a football player...

Re: Less Tebow on ESPN??
I love Tebow as much as most around here, but this is the best news I have heard in a while. We dont need coverage of him running shirtless off of the practice field.

Re: Less Tebow on ESPN??
Media turds....At first, they can't get enough of him. Now, they think there's too much of him on tv.
It's telling that Skipper said he wanted more thought about the next ten minutes than three years from now. It's that short-term, focus-on-the-now attitude that's got America in the position we're in (like major corporations paying more attention to the quarterly reports than to the long term).
Rant over.

This would be great since the excessive media drives many to dislike him which is very unfair.

Re: Less Tebow on ESPN??
Flipping through channels, I hit ESPN Mike & Mike. It went like this:
Lil Mike: "Pick 5 Backup QBs you think will be in demand as hopeful
starters by other NFL teams. First, where would you put Tebow?"
Big Mike: Nowhere.
Lil Mike: Yeah. I'd say Tebow is the biggest loser (in softer trailing voice)
the way the Jets have used him this year.
Thereafter, those 5 young QBs were listed.
This strikes me like ...... "We will now call out the 10 finalist in the
Miss America Contest ... but first let me say that Miss Nebraska's nose
was too big to allow her in the top 10."

Good post Rogo...it's really uncalled for.

I just looked at the article. Wow!
How does one "devote" less of anything ? Just doesn't fit with a
devotion .... does it ?

Re: Less Tebow on ESPN??
This probably explains why they keep trotting out that asshat Hoge to talk about Tebow. There could not be anyone more unqualified than him to discuss anything Tebow. Clearly it is a way to drive ratings.
That being said, is anyone else besides me about to pour hot grease in their ears if they hear "RG3" one more time on TV?

Re: Less Tebow on ESPN??
Promoting your sport has very much followed the adage:
"If you can't say something good, why say anything at all ?"
Many sports still follow that solid sense. They are reps promoting
the good of the sport, & supporting sportsmanship.
When Tebow came along, all that good sense got abandoned ... all
for the sake of forsaking one young man. Such drumming against
any newcomer-rookie should be despicable. A newcomer's first goal
is to fit in, to be among teammates ... not to be ostracized by
biased-targeting intrusions.

Re: Less Tebow on ESPN??
The Tebow coverage is a textbook example of what is wrong with BSPN and why I hope the other networks (CBS,FOX, and NBC) follow through on their plans to launch sports netwroks.
1. BSPN covers (over exposes) Tebow so over the top that it annoys the fans and the other players.
2. People lash out at Tebow because he is "overrated" in their minds when really they are just tired of hearing about him 24/7.
3. BSPN then attacks Tebow for being overexposed.
So BSPN creates the problem and then attacks the person even though they created the problem. All of this with smug, self righteous attitudes.
I love sports but these guys take the fun out of it.
