Bobby Petrino is back

Postby Sasquatch Gator » Mon Dec 10, 2012 2:55 pm

............at Western Kentucky. Should we pencil this in as a loss for the Vols in week 2 next year?

In lieu of a salary, He was given equity in the local Harley dealership and an annual pass, which includes free lap dances, to Tattle Tales Gentleman's Club...

This is the perfect move for Petrino. He can act like whoredog for a year without apology. He won't even have to weasel out the back door.

Surprising he didn't land a better/bigger job. I hope WKU got a big buyout because he'll be gone at the drop of a hat!

I don't think so, that would be a step down for them. :)

Bruce Feldman ‏@BFeldmanCBS

MT @MrChadBishop: Bobby Petrino contract: 4 years, base of $850,000. Will owe WKU $1.2 million if he terminates contract

How does a school like Western Kentucky pay that much for a football coach, then I realized it's an investment ---
My guess is WK makes $350K on the deal after one year, it'll be like playing an extra revenue game for them next season.
If by some chance he stays two years, he will have cost them a total of $500K net for the two seasons.

That's an impressive salary for WKU to be paying. What's the over/under on how long he stays there?

When he leaves after 1 or maybe 2 years I hope they don't say we were blindsided or suprised that he left.
He interviewed for Arkansas State, Arburn, Kentucky and Tennessee and they all said thanks but no thanks.
