Why Gator fans should applaud our former DC in New Orleans
No, we don't want Louisville to win the game. But when Charlie Strong is introduced during lineup introductions, Gator fans should applaud. He stood by UF for many many years, waiting for that first HC job. Now that he's got it, he's gonna stay there. He's what we would call in Yiddish, a real "mensch."

This would be classy "UF-Way" treatment for a classy fellow gator.

Totally agree. Charlie is class and should be treated that way.
I will be surprised if he is not.

I see this the same as when SOS is on the other sideline once each year.
Excellent idea!

I agree and I bet Charlie makes enough to be very well set for his entire life, and most of his decendants.
Only a very big ego would need more, and of course when he tells recruits he will be there they have another reason to believe he will be.
I bet Louisville will win the ACC in the near future and be competitive there for as long as Charlie is their coach. What more can fans there want.

So glad that Charley the Gator is gonna stay in the A she-she. Torment the Noles! Will be pulling for him other than this upcoming game. Hopefully we wont have to step on them too many times on the way to the crystal!

Coaches are generally not introduced before the game... I don't get your post. when did they ever say- "here's the Georgia Bulldogs with Coach Mark Richt".
I like Charley and wish him the best but during the Sugar Bowl he's Gatorbait!

Well, you are right - that's only done in MLB playoff games, NBA, NCAA hoops games. But somehow the Gator fans present in NO should give him a cheer - he DID wait a very long time for his turn, and I'm glad to see that he's gonna stick with those that gave him that chance.
Can't wait to see L'ville take out the Criminoles the first time they meet them in ACC play. It'll make every Gator happy.

Still love Charlie Strong, but he's Gator bait on January 2. After that, I'll always root for Louisville.

Gator fans boo SOS. The man who built Gator Football. So why would they have respect for any other great Gator who has moved on?

Charlie Strong was an SEC stalwart and is still a familiar face to Gators. He picked up a lot of valuable experience wearing orange and blue.
He's Gator bait now, at least till after the game.

When most people speak of our two recent national championships, they always talk about Tim, Urban, Percy, spread option, etc. I think about Charlie Strong. Our defense won those championships. Thank you, Charlie. I'll always root for you, except in the Sugar Bowl.

I also think it would send a Strong message(pun intended) to the Louisville base about the quality of the coach and person they just gave an extension to.
