That was an ego trip by somebody. Either Jackson asked for the world, or the management wants to prove they don't need him. Either way they screwed eachother.

I hate the Lakers and am loving watching them fail, but until Nash is back you can't really judge how well the hiring is going to work. But in general when Kobe takes all the shots, he puts up big numbers and the team loses. It's been like that for years. Kobe took 31 shots, Howard took 9. that's a formula for a close loss.

That said he is foolish to say it did not have an effect and not to say he is going to work hard to improve.
