With the potential probation looming over their heads, this probably is the best they could do.

Not surprised at this considering the success of the offense when he was OC and the problems this past year at Auburn. Hope he finds another Cam Newton. Wonder what Brissett is doing the next couple of years?
Big step up for Gus.

You'd think they had learned. But, it is Awful-burn where you maintain relationships with your cousins.
Since the 2004 undefeated Auburn team was so good defensively... First you bring in the DC from the 2004 team who basically had no head coaching experience, except for a crash and burn at Iowa State.
Since the 2010 undefeated Auburn team was so good offensively... Then you bring in the OC from the 2010 team with 1 year head coaching experience, at big-time Arkansas State.
Makes sense. Those who repeat stupid acts will get the same stupid results.

Yeah, that may have had something to do with it. Might even be an indication of things to come but I didn't think it would be that bad for them just judging by what's been reported.

I guess he's not involved in the items under review. I don't think this is a good hire.

This is right up there with other terrible hires like Dooley and Kiffin. Auburn fans must be devastated right now.

The thought of MatthewM merging with anybody of any sex at any time is utterly distressing.

This is similar to Miami firing Coker and hiring his top assistant to be the next coach (Shannon).....

I guess with Arky hiring a smash mouth style coach, the Barn musta felt the need to bring in a spread guy to keep some balance of style in the west! Good luck with that.
