Okay, here is what my source has told me. I haven't even seen this stuff posted at VolNation.

From Sunday:

Mike Gundy picked up Hart and two members of his crew at 11:00 am today at the Stillwater airport. This is odd for two reasons. 1) It's very rare for a coach to meet and interview in his hometown where he is employed. 2) I've never heard of a coach personaly picking up another AD in public.

Update. Here's where we are. Gundy and Sexton have an offer in hand and probably thinking it over and putting together their counter. Sexton better not get too cute because Strong is waiting by the phone and Tenn knows Gundy wants out of Stillwater. Strong will take the job if offered from what I'm told. Long story short Gundy is 1A and Strong 1B.

Erin Andrews is reporting Mora Jr turned Tenn down. I love that girl but that's not true. Tenn met briefly with him in NY tonight to gauge interest and it's there. Doubt anything comes from this but it's worth mentioning.

Looks like it's a two horse race and from what I hear this better be done no later than Friday.

There is a margin for error as in I'm not Dave Hart and that cat has been in stealth mode like I've never seen during this whole thing. Fisher still has me scratching my head. I heard all along he was #1 but yet no interview, nothing. Odd but what I sent you is an accurate description of where things are tonight.

How do you feel about Mike Gundy being named UT coach? Frankly, I think it would be a good hire and better than I would have believed they could get.

I think Gundy would be a good hire for UT so I doubt it happens since they can't seem to do anything right.

I know we don't want it to be Gundy, but that's life sometimes. It would be interesting to see if Bray returns if an offensive-minded coach like Gundy comes aboard.
