Final Harris Poll ...how they voted
Eye opening because these clowns actually decide in part who plays for the title.

If you don't think Florida is a top 5 team, then you shouldn't have a vote due to either ignorance or stupidity. I see that several of these guys shouldn't be voting.

Okay, my old eyes can't see well.
I removed it from my original post.
Yay for Patrick Stevens, who apparently is the only voter who has Florida ranked where they deserve.
My next culprit is UAB sports broadcaster Gary Sanders who had us at #8....behind two loss Texas A&M that we beat on their field.

The first name on the list, Denny Aldridge....anybody remember him? He used to be our offensive coordinator.
Special credit to Tommy Bowden who went Bama, ND, us. Give credit where it's due.

I don't remember Aldridge at all.
I remember Lynn Amendee at UF in 1988-89 as OC>
When was he at UF?

Wow, there's some seriously delusional voters in there having the Gators at 7-8. Do they even look at who they played and beat?
I don't normally use signatures, but I wanted to be kewl too.

Lloyd Carr has us at # 7 behind 2 loss LSU. This is why the computers are somewhat better. They look at wins and losses and SOS. Although, an undefeated Boise State would have a better SOS than a two loss LSU.

When was he at UF?
0-10-1 under Pell, first year. Great guy, bad OC. Replaced by Shanahan.

Here is a list of the voters with a quick description of their backgrounds:
Harris Voters
Anyone that has K State ranked higher than 10 should have their voting rights revoked. Any of those tools remember the Baylor game?

Re: Final Harris Poll ...how they voted
All this stuff is a joke to me. I used to be a traditionalist who longed for the old days, with the major bowls on New Years Day and a few other good bowl games spread throughout the holidays. Not anymore. I'm all for a playoff.
I could actually semi understand someone putting us 4th and UGA 3rd, just because they beat us on the field of play. But putting Oregon, KSU, or any other team ahead of us despite what we've done on the field and against whom is simply laughable to me.
It would be like voting for Roseanne Barr over Jennifer Anniston simply because she had a prettier dress, despite all the nastiness lurking underneath.
p.s. yes I'm older and love Jennifer Anniston and don't know the younger ones, and awful sorry for the Roseanne visual.

Looks like you could blame Jim Walden for N. Illinois getting into the Orange Bowl.
He voted them #9, ahead of teams like, LSU, TAMU, USCe, Clemson and yes even FSU.
Yep NIU #9 and FSU #15. I guess he thinks NIU will beat the Noles?

Philadelphia Eagles player Evan Mathis showed his disdain this week for the IRS by peeing on an IRS.

Lloyd Carr? As in former Michigan coach? I'm sure he's still P.O.'d after not getting a rematch with OSU and settling for an ass kicking by USC.

I really wish they would march these guys in front of a camera so they could explain exactly why they voted the way they did.

Re: Final Harris Poll ...how they voted
Dick Crum is another Harris voting (ole codger) genius with UF at #8, behind LSU.
It would be funny except these are the people who have a big part of deciding who plays where in college football.
