2013 football schedule
This is early, but I came across this article from October.
Looks easier than this years (currently). Also, two bye weeks is interesting.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Gators are currently second in the BCS rankings and in the midst of a comeback 2012 season that includes a home game loaded with SEC East implications Saturday against South Carolina.
While the Gators have much to play for this season, Florida’s 2013 schedule was released Thursday.
The Gators kick off next season at home on Aug. 31 against Toledo of the Mid-American Conference. It will be the first meeting between the two schools.
In Week 2 the Gators will travel to Miami as part of a home-and-home series that brought the Hurricanes to The Swamp in 2008, a 26-3 Gators win.
The Gators and Hurricanes have met 54 times but only five times since 1987. It will be Florida’s first game at Sun Life Stadium since its 24-14 win over Oklahoma to win the 2008 national title.
In Week 3 the Gators are off, the first of two bye weeks for Florida, which has not happened since the 2008 season.
After the bye week, the Gators host Tennessee in their Southeastern Conference opener Sept. 21 in search of their ninth consecutive win over the Vols.
Like this season, once the Gators open SEC competition they play eight consecutive games within the conference. After Tennessee, they travel to Kentucky (Sept. 28).
Next up are back-to-back games against the SEC West. Florida hosts Arkansas on Oct. 5 and then visits LSU on Oct. 12. The following week the Gators travel to Missouri for the first time.
The Gators' second bye week is Oct. 26, followed by the annual trip to Jacksonville to face Georgia on Nov. 2. The Gators close out conference play by hosting Vanderbilt on Nov. 9 and then traveling to South Carolina on Nov. 16.
The Gators then conclude the regular season with nonconference home games against Georgia Southern (Nov. 23) and Florida State (Nov. 30).
2013 Florida Football Schedule
8/31 vs. Toledo
9/7 at Miami (Fla.)
BYE
9/21 vs. Tennessee
9/28 at Kentucky
10/5 vs. Arkansas
10/12 at LSU
10/19 at Missouri
BYE
11/2 vs. Georgia (Jax.)
11/9 vs. Vanderbilt
11/16 at South Carolina
11/23 vs. Georgia Southern
11/30 vs. Florida State
Looks easier than this years (currently). Also, two bye weeks is interesting.

Will be interesting to analyze this schedule after all the coaching vacancies are filled.

Re: 2013 football schedule
We get a bye before the coctail party but so do the pups. We then play Vandy and @ USCe after they come off bye weeks.
UT plays @ Oregon the week before they come to the Swamp, Arkansas plays @ aTm the week before us, LSU is @ Miss State before our game and Mizzou is @ UGA the week before. Other than Vandy and USCe coming off byes before they play us, it sets up pretty good.

@USC and @LSU are the two big road blocks for 12-0. 10-2 would be the worst we could do.

I don't like the six home games... When was the last time we didn't play 7 at home?

2005, the year before the NCAA changed the mandatory number of games to 12.

Yep. I know the reason we waited until 2013 to schedule the return trip to Miami is because like in 2008, there's an extra Saturday in the season (just the way the calendar falls). Also, every odd year, we have one less conference home game because of the UGA game (and every even year they have one less). So the combination of going to Miami and it being an odd year would be why we have one less home game next year.

Sounds about right. I like the schedule but I don't like facing three new coaches back-to-back-to-back in Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas, even though I think we win those.

This is assuming the vols have found a coach by then.

UGA will pee in their jocks worrying all summer about UF and LSU....
UF has paid its dues as far as SOS is concerned. Probably see TexA&M in Atlanta for our version of the Red River Shootout...

For me, LSU is our only threat and if this year is any indication of how our teams are progressing, I like our chances. I'm not as worried about USCe, and UGA will be depleted on defense.

Have to love that schedule. Almost the opposite of this year where we came out under the radar and had a gauntlet pretty early, next year we come out w/ tune-ups and then have to stay healthy for the harder games near the end of the year when everyone is going to try to ruin our season (since we'll obviously be undefeated).

Let's hope the LSU and USCe games are at 3:30pm and not 7 to 8 pm. I don't like night games at those 2 stadiums.
Unless the Mayans are correct, I'm pretty sure the Georgia game will be at it's usual 3:30pm slot.
Of course if we don't show up, we can lose any game, but the LSU, USCe, and UGA games are going to be very hard hitting. I'm sure FSU won't be a walk in the park either. You are right, LSU and USCe are going to be HUGE! Miami will play their best...whatever that may be.
UGA doesn't have Bama or LSU again right? Don't they play Johnny football??

Re: 2013 football schedule
Glad to see Miami back on the schedule.
Some of you remember when our schedule was Auburn, Georgia, Florida State, and Miami starting out in November. And that was a murderous row. We usually would lose to either Auburn or Georgia killing any chance of an SEC Championship. There were times when we would play FSU earlier in the season but that November back to back match-ups with Auburn and Georgia was difficult.
After we played Auburn and Georgia, Auburn and Georgia would play each other. Then Auburn would finish the season by playing Alabama and Georgia would play Georgia Tech just like today. But back then you would play your "breathers" in the early part of the schedule. There was none of this playing Chattanooga or Jacksonville State stuff late in the season. Those type of games were tune-ups way early. November was a hard run to the end.
