Any chance Elam returns for his senior year?
I heard that some of the players are saying he will return. If he returned along with Easley, Floyd and Powell our D would rival Bama's 2011 defense.

Elam told players he will come back. Whether he does or not is still up in the air, but if he said that I will take the leap of faith here and say there is a chance.

no...best player on the field last Saturday (told to me by my FSU neighbor) and perfect to replace Troy at Pittsburgh. Same kind of player.

Anything is possible. Some factors are if you need the money, enjoy school and the college football experience. We all know that the NFL is much more of a business and if you stay the money is still there.

I really hope so. Although I wouldn't blame him for leaving if he was going to be taken in the 1st round or if he was the first safety taken. He has definitely turned into one of my all time favorite Gator safties. He is better than Reggie Nelson and Major Wright IMO and of course more physically gifted than Ahmad Black but Black was still one of the best.

Is he currently projected in the 1st round? If so, Muschamp has already said that he encourages players to leave if they are. And as others already said, it was rumored that he said he was coming back, sooooooo.............

I would like to see him come back as long as he plays to he level at he does now. We all have seen players come back for their senior year and play not to get hurt, that's not helping us. I thought Spikes kinda took off his senior year compared to his junior year.

Yes, but...
Nothing more that I'd love than seeing him come back, but since he could be a 1st rounder (should be at least) I expect him to go.

i said this in the other thread but i think he's coming back because he sees himself as more than just another first round safety. i think he came here to be a legend and isn't leaving until he achieves that.

If I could choose between Elam and Floyd returning for their senior season, I'd pick Floyd.
We're loading up in the secondary, but need all of the defensive linemen we can get.

He's a late first early 2nd to mid 2nd at this point. I don't know what he'd run at the combine but my guess is that he'll be back for his senior year.
Gosh...it seem like he hasn't been at UF long.

If he stays and remains healthy, next year he's a top 10 pick. I'm guessing his brother has explained that to him.

I would be shocked if he did. But these guys seem to have a special relationship, much like the class of 2009 did. Granted Percy didn't come back...which probably would've made it a surefire two in a row NC, but when it came to the defense, they all came back, and they were pretty good.
