SVP & Rusillo just this moment mentioned this too. Big step up for Stoops!
"What the hell are you guys doing?" "Puttin' on the foil coach"... "yeah, every game"... "want some?"

There are reports Chris Petersen might be in at Arky.

He could have had better SEC jobs before, but good move imo.

Not a good week to lose your D cord. Just got embarrassed by the 104th offense and they have the chop blockers coming up.

Looks like they will lose DJ Eliot too. Very good young coach and great recruiter. He's responsible for the success they've had on the D-line. He would have probably succeeded Stoops and they will more than likely lose a recruit or two.

I would think Stoops could do better than Kentucky.
He was rumored last week to have talked with them, so maybe FSU can use the excuse they lost to us because he was thinking of the job.

Clown fans are already using this as an excuse when they lose to Georgia Tech. "He was out the door, it's a distraction, the defense isn't ready..." blahblahblah.

Whatever excuse makes you feel better about the loss your team suffered in Tallahassee.

I doubt it. What good offense did FSU stop? The only good offense they played was Clemson, and they gave up a million yards. I personally think it's a crap hire, but it's Kentucky, so it doesn't matter. He'll fit right in.
The system kills me. These coordinators have mild success playing horrible competition, and as a result get sweet coaching gigs. Stoops sucks.

I would think his last name plays a part in his "allure" in this case.

Re: UK may have a new coach already
Agree with Ox. He may or may not be a great coach, personally I think he's serviceable, but he will not have an impact at Kentucky. It's Kentucky forchristsakes. Best he can hope for is 7-5 and a few upsets on his way to a lateral move.
The best part about this for Gator fans is FSU losing an important part of their staff a week before the ACC game and one of the hottest recruiting periods of the year. This will set them back in recruiting this year and probably the next two. They also have to replace him and start over with a new system(maybe scheme too).

I saw great defensive coaching display in Mark Stoops last game with Arizona.
His defense gave up 43 points in the Bowl game. Mike Stoops doesn't seem to be doing any better at OU.

@KySportsRadio: I am told Stoops contacted UK about job and came with a plan that said, "UK can win in SEC." Blew the UK folks away
Damn, I guess the rumors about Jimbo being a horses ass and not getting along with anyone have some merit now. If Stoops decided it was worth contacting Kentucky just to get the F outta there, it must be a bad environment.

My inside guy with FSU says it's so as well. Crazy to go there.
