All-SEC Team (vs. preseason All-SEC Team)
Realistically, how do our guys fair on the All-SEC Team/Teams? (I know some homers on here would put all 22 of our starters, plus specialists, on the 1st team...so I'm saying, "realistically").
The only Florida player on the media 1st team was Sturgis. Nixon & Elam were 2nd team. Bostic, Easly, & Floyd were 3rd team.

The coaches poll: Sturgis 1st team. Floyd, Bostic, Elam, Dubose (returner) 2nd team.Easly, Jenkins, & Nixon 3rd team.

Both kickers will be 1st team
Elam and Floyd are 1st team
Evans, Roberson and Purifoy are some where on the lower teams
Hunter is an honorable mention
Gills is 1st or 2nd team depending on how they vote
Reed is a possible 2nd but most likely 3rd team all SEC
Elam and Floyd are 1st team
Evans, Roberson and Purifoy are some where on the lower teams
Hunter is an honorable mention
Gills is 1st or 2nd team depending on how they vote
Reed is a possible 2nd but most likely 3rd team all SEC

Agree here. Also, at least 2 of our LBs should make a team....plus McCray.
I'm curious if Nixon makes one of the teams (after being pre-season). Also, Harrison deserves some consideration.

While I think our LB unit is one of the best in the country, none of them individually have amazing individual statistics. This is the only reason I did not list any of them. I think Harrison has the best chance to make the team from the ol.

I think that Purifoy is first team worthy, but the media loved Johnathan Banks and Dee Milliner from the start of the season.

That's going to work against all our guys on D b/c we rotate so much more than everyone else. We're not going to a get a CB voted that high if he isn't a full time starter (on the flip side, I wonder if Watkins gets votes). I assume Elam gets 1st team b/c he's talked about so much. I think Bostic and at least 1 of our CBs get 2nd team (I'm not even sure who I'd put there) and McCray has a shot depending on what position they put him as. Also put Gilly and Reed as 2nd team on O. If that were to happen, it would just go to further show how great our coaching is to do so well with not many 'stars'. I admit I don't watch too many others teams' interior o-lineman, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Halapio get 3rd team.
