Opponents combined record (FSU)
What value does this hold in the grand scheme of things? I think it holds some value in the computer rankings, but do the human voters take this in to consideration also? I know the ACC is crap, I just have to keep telling myself this to feel better about our chances going in to Saturday's game.
FSU's OCR: 53-67
7 teams w/ losing records
4 teams w/ winning records (NC st, Duke, Miami at 6-5)
UF's OCR: 74-46
3 teams w/ losing records (Tenn, Kentucky, Missouri)
8 teams w/ winning records (4 in top 12)
FSU does have some talent, but that schedule is a joke. No wonder why the computers hate them. And their fans believe they should be ranked higher...

Any time Duke is tied for your second best win ... need I continue?

There has to be some validity to the fact of the schedule. No doubt that UF has the toughest schedule in the country. Hope that it can translate to the field Saturday. If anything UF is more battle tested than the clowns can ever be this season. I really think this is going to come down to defense and turnovers.
Rocky top you'll always be...LAST in the SEC.....Good ole' Rocky Not.....Gators scored a big T.D.

I saw the smile and just had to throw in, if we played Duke what would the score be? I mean just a short 3 years ago I would say the score would be 55-0
I'm sure we would win but we seem to play to the other teams level each week.
We're going to win this weekend but its going to be another close game.

Yep, good D, good Special Teams and our offense can't turn the ball over and put the D in bad field position and keep them on the field forever!
We don't have to score much, just move the chains and run the clock.
The D and ST will get the rest done

I prefer to look at the teams' OCR minus the results against that team.
UF's OCR minus the win and losses vs us = 74-37, 66% win
FSU's OCR minus the win and losses vs them = 52-58, 52% win
I can't find it anywhere online, but I'd love to find both team's OOCRs as well. I'm damn sure not going to calculate it myself lol.

I think our defense is so much better and faster than any they have seen, they will need most of the 1st half to adjust which is a good thing since we seem unable to score in the first half. Manual will throw 2-3 picks, all with a good chance of being returned to for a TD or at least great field position. If Thompson were healthy we might be in trouble but I like our chances. We need some big plays on special teams and we need to take some shots down the field with Dunbar and Debose along with some seam routes. I just hope we don't play ultra conservative on offense. If we can get a lead on them early it could get ugly.

I rewatched Saturday's game and we moved the ball consistently
the first half. If we can play at that level we can win.
ST could determine the winner of this game. I'll take ours.

Re: Opponents combined record (FSU)
I completely agree that you cant even compare the level of work, in terms of opponents, FSU gets to play versus the ones UF plays. This I think is beneficial for UF because FSU hasn't seen the likes of our defense and an overall good team like us, where as UF has played and beaten much better than FSU will bring.
That being said, that #1 strength of schedule and 7 straight games (including 3 against top 12 opponents) that Florida plays has taken its toll on a still thin team. Our offense wasn't lighting the world on fire, but it is obvious the last 4 weeks that this team is tired and beat up. Whereas FSU doesn't have to get emotionally and physically psyched up week in and week out to play and can look and plan ahead for UF during the season.
And in the end we are both 10-1 with huge bragging rights at stack. And though it isn't fair that FSU can get to 10-1 with the cupcake schedule they have and UF be talked as overrated and not deserving of their 10-1 record, the difference is, if FSU wins they get nothing, when UF wins, we still will be in the hunt for the MNC.

52-58, 47% win. Sorry, had to fix it. Looks even more pathetic.

Jacksonville State has a HORRIBLE defense. They give up gazillions of points to crap teams. FSU has a decent defense. Hopefully they haven't seen our speed on O.
