Winning out could make us #2 at end of year
So, I'm sure you're all familiar with the craziness that occurred last night. If not, here's the recap:
#1 KSU lost to Baylor big
#2 Oregon lost to Stanford 17-14 in OT.
Giving into consistancy, that would probably leave:
#1 - ND
#2 - Alabama
#3 - Georgia
#4 - Florida
All in the BCS Standings
Knowing that Alabama/Georgia match-up is the SEC Championship, 1 is bound to go lower than UF after the loss leaving UF at #3, accepting that UF beats FSU.
Seeing as though the Nat'l Championship game would then be played, and forseeing UF going to probably the Sugar Bowl at #3. There must be a loser of the Nat'l Championship game, accepting again that UF wins their bowl, and would be sitting at.....
#2 in the Nation, for 2012-2013! My glass is always half-full, so this would be one awesome scenario.

Circa 1996? This year is shaping up the same way. Although, in no way do I believe we are the best team in the country, I thought we got a bit shafted last week with Alabama losing and them remaining in front of us in the BCS (not sure how a team that beats A&M is behind a team that loses to A&M in their own house). Nonetheless, this year is shaping up nicely for the mighty Gators if we beat FSU.

If the BCS'er's calculate like they did for Bama, Oregon will remain in front of the Gators even though they lost.

Tinerc's plan. Get out of the championship picture, then win a meaningless bowl game.

If we can beat the Noles which I don't think we can, we deserve to be #2.
