Jets players rip Tebow to the media - call him "terrible"
Yeesh. With friends like this, who needs enemies? I think it's safe to say Tim Tebow will never start a game with the Jets, and perhaps never start another game at all.

“All the other quarterbacks know it. I have all the confidence in Mark. We don’t really have a choice.”
Doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement for Sanchez, either.

I think the fact that the Jets are constant ripping each other (even before Tebow) behind being "anonymous" is a sign that Rex Ryan has no control over that team. It's a freaking disaster and he's to blame.

He's never appeared to be much more than a loud mouth, in my opinion. He just likes to generate publicity for the NY team that can't win the SB. He thinks he can keep them relevant with one liners.

I think the politically correct term is that program is "broken".

Re: Jets players rip Tebow to the media - call him "terrible"
Ever since the 2010 season, the Jets have been an absolute joke. They get publicity for their off the field antics (locker room, Hard Knocks, etc). They are full of "ME" guys and there is zero team chemistry, no leadership (except for Tim). Rex is too busy rubbing one out to foot fetish magazines instead of coaching...

I saw the article this morning as well. My first thought was that Tim's days are probably over. By not playing him longer than two plays on any series, letting him only throw on one pass formation, etc. Nothing good has come from the trade to NY. I think its probably fair to say that he will never be considered a starter for a team. Who is willing to put their franchise on the line? I don't see an owner out there willing to do that.

So if the player that never plays is terrible, how would you describe the players that have contributed to their 3-6 record?

Boobs were here.

the proof is that tebow would never rip his teammates for anything and they have 'more than a dozen' rip him behind his back and he barely even plays. zero pride and integrity in that organization from the top down.

Re: Jets players rip Tebow to the media - call him "terrible"
The one and ONLY legitimate knock on Tebow is his completion %, which is at 48% for his career after only 16 starts. Sanchez is only a shade better than that this season, with about half his starts being well under 50%. I have no idea why Tebow hasn't been given a shot to spark this offense. Tebow brings a running threat, playmaking, energy and would at least be on par passing with Sanchez.
It's like Ryan thinks if he gives Tebow a shot he'll be seen as caving, and he's too tough and too in charge to cave. Sorta odd, foolish pride stuff going on. Meanwhile, Tebow is stuck. Jacksonville only makes sense. Low profile market, the fans would not be impatient, he'll have time to learn the offense without feeling the pressures of winning now, and it's a franchise that has nowhere to go but up.

I don't have an issue with a player being criticized. I do have a problem with players going to the media anonymously. If you have a problem/beef with someone in your locker room have the stones to say it to his face, or at the very least if you're going to be a coward about it to the media at least go on the record.

I'm guessing the defensive starter is Landry.
#1 No one else on the defense is even worth an interview.
#2 He may very well hold a grudge from being run over by Tim in the swamp

Re: Jets players rip Tebow to the media - call him "terrible"
Actually this controversy is good news in one way. It put his name back in the news. Remember last year with all the sound and fury of the Tebow debate. He was on everyybody's radar screen being the topic of the sports media day after day, week after week. They loved him. They hated him. At least in Denver Tebow had the opportunity to win big games including a playoff thriller. With the Jets he has been pushed to the background and virtuallly forgotten wasting a whole year sitting on a bench and being denied the chance to learn on the job like Andrew Luck and other rookie quarterbacks.
There's no worse fate for an athlete than silence from the media. At least people are talking about Tebow again. If this disdain from his teammates is valid then this could be the wake up call for him to find a port of call that offers him a turn at bat. Time to fish or cut bait.

It is simple. Tim won several games including against the Jets. If he is so bad well perhaps it is the rest of the Jets that can't hold up thier end of things. If Tim really wants to play Canada perhaps is his best chance.

Maybe the Jets should win a game or two before they trash a player who rarely gets in the game...
