I mean it's cool and all, but basketball isn't meant to be played in those conditions for a reason

Re: Anybody worried
Not worried about injuries but I'm worried about the makeup of this team. Who is the leader on the team? I had Wilbekin penciled in as the guy to do that and he is suspended so??? I hope Boynton and/or Young step up in those categories or it could be a disappointing year.

Yeah, I am! I'm worried that they might throw the ball overboard by mistake.

It's the latest fad... the next fad will be playing outdoors in downtown Baghdad.

Put the boat to sea and then we've got something to watch. Even better, do it on a carrier on cats 1 & 2 while doing touch and gos on the angle.

Wouldn't it be easier, to set up a bbgym below deck and still be
honoring our Naval forces ? Surely, there is enough space, if the convertibility is possible. I would think so ... they're floating cities.
It's street-ball to play outside. Such assures poor play. I hope the
elements do not encourage injuries. Our schedule gets tuff quick.

Have to agree. It would be one thing if the game was getting the coverage of say the UConn/MSU game in Germany. But our game (which is most likely a much better matchup b/c UConn is going to suck this year) is getting almost no coverage on ESPN, is not on TV in most of the country, and where it is, it is on an obscure cable/sat channel. If you're going to play in a gimmick game at least make sure someone is paying attention.

Not sure about Amphibs but afaik all the carriers have goals already setup on the hanger deck. However, there's no cool factor to playing below decks.

Re: Anybody worried
Injuries at a concern and someone mentioned poor play as well, I agree that both are worrisome. That said I would think the game is going to have to be a inside game with the wind and all. Nothing like shooting the three and missing by a foot.
Gator Since 1970... So the government built GSMB?
